When you'd like different groups of Users to have different limits on how many points can be given out per person per recognition, you can set Tier Limits within that User's Allowance Tier.

Examples of this might be limiting Users to not give away all their points in one go, or to only be able to encourage at least a certain number of recognitions each month with their given allowance.

Tier Limits within Allowance Tiers allow Admins to configure this for their PraisePal Workspace. Here's how it works:

Setting Tier Limits

Allowance Tiers are in the Admin Settings menu, under the Recognitions tab.

Each Allowance Tier has its own Tier Limit, which can be either set as a number of points, or as a percentage of that Allowance Tier points.

Number of points:

Setting a number of points will limit all Users assigned to this Allowance Tier with a point limit per person per recognition.

Example:

100 points: This means that Users assigned in this Allowance Tier can only give a maximum of 100 points per person per recognition. If the recognition has 3 recipients, the User will be giving away 300 points.

Percentage:

Setting a percentage Tier Limit will limit the number of points given out per person per recognition to be a percentage of the Allowance Tiers total point budget.

Example:

5% of an Allowance Tier with a total budget of 1,000 points: This means that Users assigned in this Allowance Tier can only give a maximum of 10% of 1,000 points per person per recognition, which is equal to 50 points. If the recognition has 3 recipients, the User will be giving away 150 points.
