Important: Before you start creating products, you should consider whether it should actually be your supplier who creates them in their own company and then shares them with your company. This way, you can take advantage of the platform's collaboration features by allowing suppliers to share the information. If you are a supplier, you should also consider whether your subcontractor should be on the platform so they can share information with your company.

Create products manually in the system:

  1. Go to "Data" in the navigation on the left.

  2. Go to "My Products" in the navigation on the left.

  3. Now press on the "Add Product(s)" button in the right corner.

  4. Then choose "Create product".

    2. If you are missing an attribute from the list, you can create Custom Attributes, but beware, this will take you out of the pop-up, and your progress with mapping and uploading will be lost.

How to attach a data model directly via the upload?

When uploading products (and components), you can attach a data model directly via the Excel/CSV upload. This is especially useful if you are uploading large quantities at a time and want to attach different data models to the uploaded products. To attach it via upload you will need to:

  1. Your data model needs to exist before the upload.

  2. In a column - add the names of the data models you want to attach to each product, on the line of each respective product.

  3. Map the column you've created with the data model names, to the attribute called "Data model" when uploading. (see the example file at the bottom)

How to upload several columns into one attribute?

You can upload several columns into one attribute. Do the following:

  2. In the step "Column mapping" scroll down and find "Advanced options"

  3. Press "Add field".

  4. Choose the given attribute in the system you will import information into.

See this example of the "Commodity specification" attribute:

How to upload images via a Excel/CSV file?

If you want to upload images from a Excel/CSV file you need to have a public image link in a separate column. This column should then be mapped to the "Image" attribute when uploading. When uploaded the image land in the attribute and in the Assets tab on the product.

How to upload PDF files via a Excel/CSV file?

If you want to upload PDF file from a Excel/CSV file you need to have a public link to the specific PDF file in a seperat column. This column should then be mapped to a attribute when uploading. This has to be a attribute with the file upload function (you can create your own custom attribute if needed).

When I upload a CSV file, the columns are not separated correctly?

This is due to wrong formatting of the CSV file. Please try and open the file in excel and then use "Save as" to a new CSV file. This should fix the formatting so it can be read by the CSV uploader.

Please note:

Some values are placed under categories. For example: SKU and GTIN are part of the "Product Identifier" field, and product dimensions such as product height are part of the "Dimension" field.

If you are missing an attribute from the list, you can create custom attributes. However, please note that this will take you out of the pop-up and your mapping and upload progress will be lost.

Once the import is complete, you will get an overview of how many products were uploaded successfully, failed, or were canceled. Press the "Show details" button for more information. If you cannot figure out what is wrong, you can get help via the support chat in the corner.

You are now ready to get started and can find the imported products under "My Products" in the navigation menu on the left.

You can only run ONE upload at a time. You CANNOT open another browser tab and start another upload there, before the ongoing upload is finished.

We recommend not working with data in several tabs at once, so if you edit, add or change data, do it in one browser tab. You can though open another tab to see/check content on the platform - but don't edit/save in several tabs at once, from the same user.
