Building Pre Approval Letter Template Selecting the Correct Letter Template on a Loan

The basics of creating a Pre-Approval letter in Pre Approve me, and how to assign specific templates for a loan.

โ€‹Step One: In the lower left corner of the screen, click the gear icon.

Step Two: A menu will come up with several options, from here choose if you would like to go into Company Settings in order to edit things for the whole company, or My Settings to edit your own settings.

Step Three: On the left side of the screen, under Personalization click Pre-Approval Letters.

Step Four: On the new page under Pre-Approval Letters click Edit Letter Template.

Step Five: LOGO - When you enter the letter editor, by default your Company's logo will be at the top of the page, however you can still change the logo if needed. Simply delete the old logo, click on the Insert Image icon. Clicking the icon will open a file explorer, locate your icon and click Open.

After adding the logo, you can choose how to align it by clicking on the logo, then choosing how to align the logo by clicking the Align button.

Step Six: Dynamic Text - The blue fields in the letter are Dynamic Text. The dynamic text fields are where the customer's information will be filled in. If you would like to add another field, enter the new category where you want it to go, then click the </> button the add the dynamic text.

Step Seven: At the top of your screen make sure you enter a Template Name, to do this, simply click the box under Template Name.

Step Eight: At the top of the screen, click Save Changes to save your new template.

Step Nine: In order to select the template you want to use, simply go back to the Loan Dashboard. On the left side of the screen click Dashboard.

Step Ten: Click on the loan you want to go into from your Loans and Leads.

Step Eleven: On the left side of the loan screen, click on Programs.

Step Twelve: In order to choose a template for a specific loan, click on the dropdown menu under Pre-Approval Letter Template.

Step Thirteen: After choosing the template, click Save Changes.

Step Fourteen: Go back to the Loan Dashboard by clicking the House icon in the top left corner of the screen. The house icon will take you back to the main Dashboard, from here you need to select a loan.

Step Fifteen: From the Loan Dashboard, on the right side of the screen, in the Control Center, use the Approval Type dropdown menu to select whether your borrower is Pre-Qualified or Pre-Approved.

Step Sixteen: If you have multiple types of Pre-Approval Letters and you need to assign a specific one, click on Programs from the menu on the left side of the Loan Dashboard.

Step Seventeen: From inside the Programs tab, scroll down to Pre-Approval Letters or Pre-Qualification Letters depending on the status of the loan. Using the dropdown menu select the letter template you would like to use for the particular loan. Make sure to Save Changes.
