Pagination settings can be found under Configuration > Search & collection pages. Here you can choose between:
Numbered pagination — classic page numbers
Progressive loading — load more button
Infinite scrolling — products load automatically
Each type has its own customization options, described below.
Pagination settings for search & collection pages
Numbered pagination
Classic pagination where shoppers click through pages of products.
Pagination control
Choose how shoppers move between pages:
Page numbers only — display numbered pages
Arrows only — use navigation arrows
Custom text — set your own labels for navigation
With Pagination control settings, you can choose how shoppers move between pages in this section
Product display settings
Decide how many products to display per page:
Fixed display count — set a single value (e.g., 24 products)
Flexible dropdown selection — offer multiple options (e.g., 24 / 48 / 60 products) so shoppers can choose
You can also add a dropdown label or leave it blank.
Show a fixed number of products or let users choose how many they want to see with display settings
Progressive loading
Loads more products when shoppers click a button—ideal if you want faster first loads but still let shoppers choose to see more.
Pagination control
Set the Load more button label. This can be any text you want, such as “Show more” or “See more products.”
Product display settings
Same as for Numbered pagination—choose between a fixed display count or a flexible dropdown with multiple options.
Customize the load more button text and product display options with progressive loading
💡Hint: Progressive loading offers more flexibility than infinite scrolling because you can control how many products are shown and let shoppers choose with a dropdown. It also keeps the page load fast and clean—ideal for performance and shopper experience.
Infinite scrolling
Continuously loads products as shoppers scroll down the page.
Infinite scrolling has no additional settings—product display count and controls aren’t available for this type, because this pagination option loads products on the result or category pages while the user scrolls.
Infinite scrolling loads more products as the shopper scrolls—no extra settings needed
⚠️ Important: Infinite scroll can affect how shoppers use the browser’s back button or navigate long lists. It also disables dropdown and product count controls.
