Resources Modules are sets of learning materials that support the Labs and Challenges you build on PreprLabs. This article provides a step-by-step guide on how to create one.

Want to learn the difference between a Resource Module, Resource Collection and Resource Group? Read this article for more information.

Hover over Create in the Top Navigation Menu and select Create a Resource Module.

Click on From Scratch to get to the Create Resource Module page.

The Resource Module creation interface is divided in two steps. The first step, Resource Details, lets you fill in descriptive information about your Resource Module, such as its name, description, Banner image, and so on.

Fill out the fields as necessary and click Continue, at the bottom of the interface. This will create your Resource Module and take you to the second step of the Resource Module creation interface, Upload Resources.

The Upload Resources step lets you add learning materials to your blank Resource Module. There are four ways to put things in your Resource Module: File Upload, SCORM File Upload, Embed Media, and Add Links.

File Upload

This option allows you to drag and drop files into your Resource Module, or upload them from your device.

For a complete list of accepted file formats, see this article.

SCORM File Upload

This option allows you to add SCORM Files to your Resource Module. SCORM files are an industry-standard format for eLearning content.

Interested in learning more about SCORM? Read this article from the ADL Initiative for a quick overview from its creators.

Embed Media

This option lets you embed video and audio from a third-party service provider of your choice.

Add Links

This options lets you link to any third-party resource you wish.

Once you are satisfied with your Resource Module, scroll to the bottom of the interface and press Submit. You have now created your Resource Module.
