At its core, a Challenge is a place for learners and teams to build and submit their projects. Think of Challenges like assignments in a course, or a scenarios for a hackathon.

Each Challenge provides a short description which details what it is about, what participants should create, and what they can learn from that process. Challenges also provide details on submission requirements for projects.

Unlike the usual quizzes and essays, Challenges are all about showing off your skills by building something. They're learn-by-doing experiences, designed to showcase your abilities by applying them towards a creative product.

Many Challenges will have a pitch attached: a set of questions about your process and deliverable. In some cases, you will need to answer these to submit your project. Some Challenges will also have tasks: a checklist of actions you need to perform.

Depending on the Challenge, you can either take it on solo or team up with others. Teamwork can make the process even more rewarding!

Challenges can be linked with Resources, which are learning materials that provide more depth on the Challenge's subject matter. Challenges can also be composed into Labs, which provide more comprehensive experiences for learning and innovation.

Now, about time. Some Challenges have a fixed deadline, while others give you a certain number of days from the start to finish up. For example, a Challenge for a contest might have a set due date, while a self-paced training Challenge might offer more flexibility.

Challenges can also be sorted by how long they take, the skills they develop, or the expertise level they require.

By completing Challenges, users can earn Achievements for participation and for exemplary work. These Achievements are displayed on your profile and can be shared on services like LinkedIn, so each Challenge is an opportunity to show what you can do!

In a nutshell, Challenges are where users build, learn, and succeed on PreprLabs. Think of them like project assignments or contest scenarios; the goal is to start with the prompt and create something amazing.
