Challenge Templates are a great way to quickly deploy learning experiences to members of your team. This article will show you how to use them.
To create a Challenge from a template, hover over the Create button in the Top Navigation Menu, then select Create a Challenge from the dropdown. This will open a popup interface.
Next, select Challenge Template. You can filter through these templates using the options on the left-hand side of the popup. You can also search for specific templates using the search bar at the top. To preview a template, hover over its banner image and select Preview.
This will direct you to a page showing the template's default description, achievement information, and submission requirements.
When you've decided on which template you want to use, navigate back to the Challenge Template pop-up, hover over the template's listing, and select Use Template. This will take you to a variant of the Challenge Creation interface.
Unlike custom Challenges, many fields in your cloned Challenge will be un-editable. However, you still have the ability to modify the following fields:
Status: (open/closed) Whether the cloned Challenge accepts submissions.
Privacy of Challenge: (public/private) Whether the cloned Challenge is visible from search, or requires an invite to be seen.
Privacy of submitted projects: (public/private) Whether submissions to the cloned Challenge can be seen by other users.
Eligibility requirements: Conditions that projects and team members must meet in order for their submissions to be accepted.
Timeline: Deadlines surrounding this cloned Challenge.
Sponsors: Key supporters of this cloned Challenge.
Agreement: The terms of project submission.
Resources: Resources attached to this cloned Challenge.
Alter these fields as required, and then hit Update Challenge. You have now created a Challenge from a template.
