There are two ways to edit your projects on PreprLabs: through the project edit interface, or the project detail interface. This article will show you both methods.

Via the Project Detail Interface

The project detail interface is a good option when you only need to make small changes to your project. It does not let you edit your project's title, description, team, or details; those can be handled through the project edit interface.

We'll start by navigating to your project. Click the My Projects button in the top header to go to the 'My Projects' page.

Search for your project using the on-page search bar, and then click the Detailed View button under its listing. This will take you to your project's detail page.

Here, you will see multiple options for editing your project.

Under the Pitch tab

Clicking the Edit Pitch button under the Pitch tab will take you to the Pitch Editing stage of the project edit interface.

This section lets you add, edit, and remove your responses to the project's pitch. Depending on the Lab or Challenge you have associated your project to, it may also be possible to change which pitch your project uses.

For more information on the pitch section, see this article.

Under the Gallery tab

Clicking the Add/Remove Images button converts the photo gallery to a drag-and-drop upload interface. The same applies for the video sub-tab. You can upload any kind of file in this view; PreprLabs will automatically sort them into the right tab.

Under the Files tab

This section behaves similarly to the Gallery tab. Clicking Add/Remove files converts the file section into a drag-and-drop upload interface.

If you need to make more comprehensive changes from here, you can always hit the Edit button at the top right of the page. This will open the project edit interface.

Via the Project Edit Interface

The project edit interface is a good option when you have comprehensive changes to push through.

Start by clicking the My Projects button in the top header. This will take you to the 'My Projects' page.

Search for your project using the on-page search bar, and then click the Edit button under its listing. This will take you to the project edit interface.

This interface is divided into 5 steps.

Details

This section lets you update your project's name, description, URL, Lab and Challenge associations, the visibility and downloadability of its files, as well as the banner image used for listing pages.

Pitch

This section lets you add, edit, and remove your responses to the project's pitch. Depending on the Lab or Challenge you have associated your project to, it may also be possible to change which pitch your project uses.

For more information on the pitch section, see this article.

Gallery, Files & Links

This sections lets you add, modify and remove files and external links from your submission.

Image and video files will show up under the 'Gallery' section of your Project. All other files will show up under the 'Files' section.

For more information on file requirements, see this article.

Team Building

This section lets you invite and remove users, as well as modify their permissions and role within your project.

The 'Positions' field is purely for describing a user's contribution; it doesn't affect their access to your Project. Setting a user as 'Team Leader' grants them full access to edit and submit the project.

This section also lets you set up recruiting for your project. For more information about setting up recruiting and team matching, see this article.

Additional Project Details

This final section contains fields used to describe the status and intention of your project to viewers, evaluators, and potential collaborators.

When you're happy with your submission's details, scroll to the bottom of the project and click Update Project. Your edits will be pushed through.
