PRIVACY POLICY

Welcome to the PressPlay Academy Platform, established and operated by PPGROUPUSA CORPORATION (collectively, “PressPlay,” the “Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). Unless otherwise specified, the use of “you” (or similar words like “your”) and “user” or “users” refers to the person(s) using the Services (as defined below), subject to our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy. If you accept this Privacy Policy on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that company or other legal entity to this Privacy Policy and, in such event, “you” and “your” will refer and apply to that company or other legal entity.
By accessing and/or using our Services, including by accessing this website at https://us.pressplay.cc (“Website”), you agree to this Privacy Policy, our Terms of Service, and any other legal notices or other rules, policies, and procedures relating to the Services that we may publish from time to time (collectively, the “Documenta tion”). If you do not agree with all or any portion of the Documentation, you may not access and/or use the Services.
This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) details our commitment to protecting the privacy of Platform Users who visit our Website and register to use the Services (as defined below) which we market for purchase and subscription.
This Policy provides an overview of how your personal information is collected, used, and/or shared. The purpose of this Policy is to inform you of the types of personal information we may collect from you and how that information is used. We collect certain personal information through our Website and our Services (each a “Service” or the “Services”). Except as expressly set forth in this Policy, we will not use your information in any other manner or for any other purpose.
By entering your personal information into our Website and our Services, you acknowledge and accept that the personal information you share will be subject to our standard storage retention policies as described herein. Except for those specific uses as set forth in this Policy, we will not collect, store, or use your personal information for any other purpose. Notwithstanding the foregoing, this Policy, including your rights and our obligations stated herein will not apply to any other personal information you voluntarily and/or publicly share through the PressPlay platform, the Service, or through other means with any other party, including other Platform Users.
1. Scope of Policy
This Policy covers all personal information collected from the PressPlay platform members. PressPlay collects certain personal information in the course of providing the Services, including members’ name, age, birthday, gender, email address and contact information (e.g. mailing address, phone number, etc.) or other personal information an as authorized by you for collection by the Company at the time of account registration or thereafter.
This Policy applies only to the PressPlay platform Website and Services. If Platform Users click on any third party links, advertisements, or other websites which we do not have control (“External Websites”), Platform Users must consult the privacy policy(s) of those External Websites. Any links to such External Websites do not constitute an endorsement by us of those External Websites. If the PressPlay platform provides links to such External Websites, you acknowledge that we are providing these links to you for convenience only. We are not responsible for the content of such External Websites.
Before using this Service or registering for an account, Platform Users should ensure that they have carefully read and understood the terms listed in this Policy. If Platform Users cannot agree to abide by all or part of this policy, platform users will not be able to use the PressPlay platform Services.
2. Collection and Use of Personal Data
The Company collects and uses certain personally identifiable, which includes members’ name, address, email, and phone number (“PII”) in order to identify Members of the PressPlay platform, provide project subscriptions, offer services for purchase, and to regularly improve the Service based on Member feedback. We collect and use PII in accordance with user classification among members, content creators, subscribers and one-time purchasers on the PressPlay platform (as defined in our Terms of Service) as follows:
(a) 【Members】:
For Members of the PressPlay platform, the Company collects members’ e-mail address, registered account display name, real name, nickname, birthday, gender, contact number, and mailing address. In addition to the PII listed above, if the platform user completes their account registration by authorizing the use of their Facebook login credentials, Apple ID login credentials and other third-party platform login methods, the Member agrees to allow the Company to access, collect and store such PII for account registration purposes.
(b)【Content Creator】:
For Content Creators, all PII collected by the Company from Members will also be collected from Content Creators in addition to collecting payment information for any subscription plan in order to verify the subscription. The Company also collects PII regarding the identity of the content creator such as a government-issued ID number and legal name, as well as contact information (including address and telephone number) of the Content Creator, and relevant bank information wherein the Company can verify the identity of the Content Creator. If the content creator is a legal person, the company will collect the name of the legal person, contact number, contact e-mail, the latest business establishment and change registration form or other information that can verify the identity of the legal person and other public information. Except for the information disclosed voluntarily by the proponent to any other Member or in accordance with the legal requirements of the competent authority, the Company will not disclose any PII provided by any Content Creator.
(c) 【Subscriber】:
For Subscribers, all PII collected by the Company from Members and Content Creators will also be collected from Subscribers. Additionally, we will collect from Subscribers PII regarding the details of their selected subscription plan and their payment method for the purpose of assisting the Content Creator in processing payment for the subscription amount and in the fulfillment of the subscription content. If a subscription plan includes any awards, gifts, or other physical items, we will also collect the Subscriber’s name, mailing address, and phone number for the purpose of shipping and fulfillment.
If a Subscriber is eligible for a refund due to the failure or cancellation of a paid subscription plan, the Company will contact the Subscriber in order to facilitate a refund. If a Subscriber paid by credit card, the Subscriber must provide their bank details so that they can receive a refund from the Company. The Company will only use a Subscriber’s bank details for the purpose of providing a refund when due and for no other purpose. Thereafter, the Company will delete any stored information containing a Subscribers bank details.
(d)【One-time Purchaser】
For One-time Purchasers, all PII collected by the Company from Members will also be collected from One-time Purchasers. Additionally, we will collect from One-time Purchasers PII regarding the details of their selected project and their payment method for the purpose of assisting the Content Creator in processing payment for the project and in the fulfillment of the project content. If a project includes any awards, gifts, or other physical items, we will also collect the One-time Purchaser’s name, mailing address, and phone number for the purpose of shipping and fulfillment.
(e) 【Others】
For Members who authorize use of their existing Facebook or other social platform login credentials to create an account on the PressPlay platform, the Company may collect data from the activity of those Members’ existing social platform accounts and upon obtaining express consent, the Company may publish information on those social platforms regarding the PressPlay platform on their behalf. If Members do not consent to the release of information associated with their existing social platform account, they must decline when prompted during account registration.
We will also collect and store certain PII of the PressPlay platform Members when such Members browse the PressPlay platform via our Website or use various PressPlay platform services, provide feedback, or participate in promotional advertising activities.
PII collected by the Company from Members of the PressPlay platform may be used to customize advertisements for Members of the PressPlay platform or to improve products or services to better meet the needs of Members of the PressPlay platform.
Additionally, PII may be used internally by the Company to (i) facilitate communication between Members, (ii) develop new services, (iii) for PressPlay to contact its Members, (iv) to conduct market research, or (v) to be depersonalized into anonymous aggregate data that may be provided to Content Creators or third parties as analytics.
The Company will continue to process Member PII collected via the procedures described above until the Member of the PressPlay platform notices the Company to terminate the Member’s account on the PressPlay platform, or if the PressPlay platform terminates the Member’s account due to a prolonged period of non-use, whichever comes first. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Company will retain Member PII associated with an inactive account for up to one (1) year and, where applicable, any financial records for seven (7) years.
3. Sharing and Disclosure of Personal Data
We will not provide or disclose Member PII to any third party without the Member’s prior consent except in the following circumstances:
De-Personalization of PII for Processing as Anonymized Aggregate Data: After the Company collects the PII of Members on the PressPlay platform in the manner set forth above, the Company will de-personalize Member PII to be processed for the purpose of creating anonymized aggregate data (“AA Data”). The Company will further use AA Data to evaluate usage of the Services and improve advertising recommendations. Additionally, the Company will conduct internal statistics, research and analysis using AA Data, which may also be shared with the Company’s external partners.
Compelled Disclosure by Law: We may be required to disclose personal information in response to lawful administrative, judicial and legal requests by public authorities. We may disclose PII to respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims. We may also share such information if we believe it is necessary in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding actual or suspected illegal activities, fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, or violations of our Terms of Service.
Transfer of company ownership: If the Company is merged or substantially all of its assets (greater than 50%) are acquired by a third party(s), or any other circumstances requiring the transition of management of the Company or the PressPlay platform, in whole or in part, such that PressPlay platform member information may be transferred to the possession of the relevant surviving entity or new management of the Company, where applicable.
Other: Any other circumstances required by law or to protect the legal rights and interests of the Company.
4. Cookies
We automatically record the IP address, browsing history, and usage of the Service by Platform Users who visit the PressPlay platform Website and may set up and access cookies on the Platform User's computer or Internet device to facilitate future identification.
The Company may also allow partners (including but not limited to third party affiliates and advertisers) screened by the PressPlay platform to set up and access cookies on the Platform User's computer. In such case, the Platform User will be informed of such access cookies and will be advised to refer to the privacy policies of those PressPlay partners for more information on their data collection and storage practices.
Platform Users can set their preferences regarding the use of cookie technology through the settings of their personal computers or Internet devices. If Platform Users decide to turn off cookies, there may be interruptions in using the Service including the restriction of certain functions wherein cookies are necessary for full access to the Services.
5. Scope of Privacy Rights for PressPlay Platform Members
Registration as a Member of the PressPlay platform results in the Member being automatically opting in to receive any emails from the Company relating to the project on the PressPlay platform or the Service. The content of such emails may include but are not limited to service descriptions, account numbers, management, membership benefits, event information and other related information.
Members of the PressPlay platform can log in to the personal settings of the PressPlay platform at any time to add, modify, delete, delete, or update their personal information stored on the PressPlay platform; however, Member email addresses and birthdays can only be changed by contacting our Customer Support team at cs@pressplay.cc.
Members of the PressPlay platform are entitled to submit the following requests regarding their PII collected by the Company: (1) request to examine, (2) request to make a copy, (3) request to supplement or correct, (4) request to stop collection, processing or utilization and (5) request for deletion. All such requests must be submitted to our Customer Support team via E-mail to cs@pressplay.cc.
Only Members of the PressPlay platform may submit the above requests and may do so only for their own account. For requests for deletion, please be advised that once an account or associated information is deleted upon request, it cannot be restored and you will no longer be able to view or access the deleted information.
6. Internal Privacy Practices
The Company will limit access to Member PII to only those employees who need to access it for the purpose of facilitating or supporting the Service. Any PII shared by a Member publicly is done so at the Member’s own risk.
Although the Company strives to facilitate a safe environment for use of the Services, we cannot ensure the absolute security of all information transmitted through the PressPlay platform or network. The Company will not be responsible for any PII willfully disclosed by Members either on the PressPlay platform or on any related third party services.
If your Member account has become compromised for any reason, you are encouraged to immediately contact our Customer Support team at cs@pressplay.cc.
7. Additional Rights for State of California:
We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with the California Consumer Privacy Act (“the CCPA”). If you are a California consumer, the CCPA provides you with specific rights regarding your Personal Information:
Categories of Personal Information Collected: In the preceding 12 months, we have collected the categories of personal information listed below. Note that not all categories of information are collected from all people.
Identifiers, such as name, email addresses, Internet Protocol address, account name, or other similar contact information identifiers
Categories of personal information described in the California Customer Records statute (California Civil Code Section 1798.80), including name telephone number, postal address, payment information and, for employment candidates, education and employment history
Commercial information, including product usage data, records of products or services purchased or considered, or purchasing habits
Internet and other similar network activity, such as browsing history on our web sites or information regarding interaction with our web sites, emails or products, inferences - including information about your interests, preferences and favorite brands and products
Your Rights: Under the CCPA, California consumers have the following rights:
Right to request access to the specific personal information we have collected about you within the previous twelve (12) months. You may also request additional details about our information practices, including the categories of personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources of collection, the purpose for collecting personal information, the categories of third parties with whom we may share your personal information, the categories of personal information we have disclosed about you in the previous twelve (12) months;
Right to request rectification of and deletion of your personal information (subject to certain exceptions);
Right to object to processing;
Right to data portability;
You may opt out of the selling of your personal information and behavioral profiling including automated decision making.
If you choose to exercise your rights under the CCPA, we will not discriminate against you, and you will continue to receive the same access to the Services as any user who has chosen not to exercise their rights under the CCPA.
California consumers may make reasonable rights requests free of charge by sending a request to our Customer Support team at cs@pressplay.cc. Your request must include sufficient information that allows us to reasonably verify you are the person whom we have collected personal information, which may include your email address, name, and/or other contact information.
Within fifteen (15) days of receiving a valid request to limit the use or disclosure of your personal information, we shall complete the requirements of the request and submit all relevant documentation needed to confirm completion to the requestor.
Within ten (10) days of receiving a valid request to know, access, correct, or delete your personal information, we shall acknowledge receipt of your request accordingly. Thereafter, we shall complete the requirements of the request and submit all relevant documentation needed to confirm completion to the requestor within forty-five (45) days from your initial request, or upon notice and explanation to you, a maximum total of no longer than ninety (90) days from the date your request was first received.
Sale and Sharing of Personal Information: We do not sell any of your personal data to third parties in the ordinary sense of the term ‘sell’. We do, however, share your personal information for the purposes outlined in this Policy. We also use website analytics services that may process personal information that may constitute a ‘sale’ under CCPA. You may opt out of that at any time by blocking cookies on our website.
Further disclosures: For further disclosures regarding your personal information, as required by the CCPA, please refer to the remainder of this Policy. You can find information about the business and commercial purposes for which we collect your personal information, the sources from which we collect personal data, and information about the categories of third parties to whom we disclose your personal information to, as well as information regarding which categories of personal information are being disclosed.
8. Children’s Privacy
The Website and Service are not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not target the Website or Service to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you become aware that we are processing the personal information of children under the age of 13, please contact us via E-mail at cs@pressplay.cc and we will delete such data as soon as possible.
9. Amendments to Privacy Protection Policy
The Company reserves the right to modify and update this Policy at any time. If there is a major change in the processing of personal data, a notice will be sent to the email specified by the Members of the PressPlay platform when they register on the PressPlay platform or as an announcement on the PressPlay platform.
