Can't sign up or log in from India? Here's the fix

How to bypass ISP-level Supabase blocks affecting Indian users since Feb 24, 2026.

Written by Vincent

What's happening

Since February 24, 2026, several Indian internet providers (Jio, Airtel, ACT Fibernet) are blocking access to Supabase, the authentication service we use.

This means sign-up, Google login, and magic links may not work for you.

This is an ISP-level block affecting thousands of apps, not just ours. Supabase is working to resolve it with Indian authorities.

Quick fixes (pick one)

1. Change your DNS to 1.1.1.1 (Cloudflare DNS) - this works for most users

  • On Android: Settings > Network > Private DNS > Enter one.one.one.one

  • On Windows: Search "DNS" in Settings > Change to 1.1.1.1

  • On iPhone: Settings > Wi-Fi > tap your network > Configure DNS > Manual > add 1.1.1.1

2. Use a VPN - any VPN that routes traffic outside India will work

3. Switch to mobile data - some mobile connections are less affected than broadband
