Setting up Events and Holidays

How to create and configure Events and Holidays in Pricepoint: adjust your price range for specific dates like holidays or local events, either with a modifier or by setting a new range.

The Events and Holidays feature lets you change your price range for specific dates, such as holidays, festivals or local events. You can either add a percentage or fixed modifier to your Starting, Minimum and Maximum Price, or set a completely new range for those dates. These changes override your Rate Setup for the event dates only.

Accessing Events and Holidays

  1. Go to Settings > Events and Holidays.

  2. View your list of past, inactive, and active events. Each event card shows:

    • Event dates

    • The price changes applied

    • Options to activate/deactivate, edit, or delete the event

Creating or Editing an Event

  • Step 1: Select or Create an Event. Click the pen icon to edit an existing event, or Add Event to create a new one.

  • Step 2: Configure event details. Toggle the event active/inactive and give it a clear name.

  • Step 3: Set event frequency. Choose whether the event repeats every year or only happens on specific dates.

  • Step 4: Choose the dates and days. Select the event dates and which weekdays it should affect. Events can’t overlap.

  • Step 5: Adjust pricing. Choose one of two options. The change applies to all room types.

    • Adjust prices: increase or decrease your Starting, Minimum and Maximum Price by a percentage or a fixed amount.

    • Set prices: enter a new Starting, Minimum and Maximum Price for the event dates.

  • Step 6: Save. Click Save at the bottom of the screen.

Example: a music festival takes place in your town every second weekend of July. Create an event that repeats every year and add +30% to your prices

Good to know

  • Works with your Rate Setup. Events adjust your price range for specific dates without changing your long-term setup.

  • No overlaps. Two events can’t share the same dates.

  • Manual Price wins. If a date has both an Event and a Manual Price, the Manual Price is used.

  • Use with care. If you’re creating events very often, your Rate Setup may need reviewing instead.
