Pricepoint operates within a pricing framework defined in Rate Setup, which includes the Starting Price, Minimum Price, and Maximum Price. This framework allows Pricepoint to dynamically optimize prices within these parameters.
For unique situations that call for adjustments on specific days, you can manually influence pricing directly in the Calendar View — either by setting a Manual Price, or by adjusting the Demand Level. This article covers Manual Price; for Demand Level steps, see How to Change the Demand Level?. Both let Pricepoint keep operating efficiently while accounting for temporary changes.
Note: These steps apply to Parent Rooms. Child rooms follow their parent's pricing automatically and can't be adjusted directly through Manual Price — if you need a child room to price differently from its parent, see How to Change the Price Difference Between a Parent and Child Room.
Methods for Manual Price Management
Adjusting the Framework for a Specific Day
Adjusting the Framework for Multiple Days (Bulk Update)
Go to the Calendar View and click the green Bulk Update button at the top left, next to the month name.
In the Bulk Update window:
Select room types — choose which room type(s) the change applies to.
Select the date range and days — set your start and end dates, then check which weekdays to include.
Choose what you're planning to do: Set prices, Adjust prices, or Remove manual prices. To remove them, see How to Remove Manual Prices?
Double-check your inputs and click Run to apply the changes.
Use Bulk Update sparingly. It's meant for short-term exceptions and changes every date you select. If you're changing prices for most of a longer period, adjust your price range in Rate Setup instead, or contact our team.
Option A: Set Prices
Enter new values for Max Price, Starting Price, and Min Price. You can also select a Demand Level (1–5) to apply alongside these prices.
Note: If you don't set a Min Price, Pricepoint defaults it to 50% lower than the Starting Price.
Option B: Adjust Prices
Check the box next to each price component you want to change (Max Price, Starting Price, and/or Min Price). Then choose whether to apply a fixed value (+/-) or a percentage (+/-), and enter the amount — this will be applied to all the components you checked.
Important Notes
Designed for Specific Days: Manual adjustments are intended for short-term exceptions and should not replace the broader framework managed in Rate Setup.
Avoid Overuse: If you find yourself making manual changes often, your Rate Setup may need revising. Contact Customer Support and we'll help you adjust it.
Manual Adjustments Take Priority: Any manual change will override the default framework for the dates you've set it on.
