Deal Terms and Additional Terms and Conditions are a super easy way to flesh out an offer by adding either templated details or adding unique items to an event.

We recommend using Deal Terms templates to include specifics about the deal or the venue that you'd like to make sure are on every offer. Things like exclusivity clauses, comps, and production and media specifics might be included in the Deal Terms. On individual events details can be added to the Deal Terms that are specific to that show. If you are working in multiple venues, it might make sense to have a Deal Terms template for each venue.

Additional Terms and Conditions templates can be used for any standard legalese that you'd like to include in every offer. Often Additional Terms and Conditions do not change from offer to offer so you may only need one Additional Terms template that you apply to all offers.

Below you'll learn how to add Terms to an offer, create Terms templates, and apply the templates.

Adding Terms to an Offer

You can always add quick notes or update Deal Terms or Additional Terms on the offer on the Deals tab of an event. On the Deals tab, click the three dot menu next to the green Offer button, click edit, and scroll to the bottom of the deal builder and click "Edit Deal Terms" or "Edit Additional Terms and Conditions." Click Save on the Terms, and then click Save again to save the deal.

Deal Terms appear as "Deal Terms" on the offer and Additional Terms will appear at the bottom of the offer as "Additional Terms and Conditions."

Using Templates

Deal Terms and Additional Terms are usually a part of an Event Template. The artist deal in the Talent Deals section of a template will allow you to add specific Deal Terms and Additional Terms to an Event Template.

Alternatively, Deal Terms and Additional Terms can also be saved as their own stand-alone template, in organization settings. You might create Terms Templates if would like to be able to quickly add Deal Terms to a custom built show on the fly.

Create a Deal Terms Template

To create a Deal Terms of Additional Terms and Conditions template, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the icon with your initials in the bottom left corner of Prism and click Settings

  2. Click on the Templates tab and select Text Templates

  3. Click the Create Text Template button in the top right corner

  4. Label the template with a name, choose which type of terms template the text should be, enter terms into the Text box and format them and click Save.

Deal Terms templates will be available on Talent deals and Rental deals. Additional Terms and Conditions are available on Talent deals only.

Apply a Deal Terms template

Once a Deal Terms or Additional Terms template is created, an option will appear that allows you to fill the Terms fields from a Template on any event.

On the Deals tab of the event, click the three dot menu next to the green Offer button, click edit, and scroll to the bottom of the deal builder and click "Edit Deal Terms" or "Edit Additional Terms and Conditions." Click the purple "Fill from Template" button and select the Terms you would like to apply. You can edit the text once it's added if there are certain details unique to the event.

Reminder: Deal Terms and Additional Terms can also be added within an Event Template. To learn more about adding Terms to Event Templates visit the article on Event Templates.
