A quick intro
Prism’s deal builder is a powerful tool that's able to handle nuanced and intricate deal structures. We've created four main deal types (flat, door deal, plus, and versus) and they can be modified through specific bonus terms to arrive at a desired payout structure.
Promoter profit, a percentage-based fee calculated below the line as a percentage of expenses, can be added to any deal
Multiple bonuses can be added as retroactive bonuses or adjustments

Flat deal
What is it?
A flat deal offers the artist a pre-negotiated fixed guarantee. There's no bonus, so the fee will remain the same whether the show sells zero tickets or sells out.
Door deal
What is it?
A door deal offers the artist a percentage or a flat amount of the door based on some condition.
% of Net
Offers a percentage of the door after expenses, meaning the artist receives a percentage of ticket revenue after taxes, fees, and show expenses are covered (Net Gross - show expenses or manual split point)
% of Net Gross
Offers a percentage of the door from dollar one, so the artist receives a percentage of ticket revenue after taxes and fees are covered (Net Gross is Total Gross - Total Taxes, Facility Fees, and other Pre-settlement Fees)
Per ticket
Offers a flat amount per ticket sold
Can be conditional based on % of sell through or # of tickets sold
Flat
Offers a flat amount if some condition is met (e.g. # of tickets sold or sell through percentage)
Plus deal
What is it?
Offers a guarantee plus an additional bonus
% of Net
In addition to guarantee, offers a percentage of ticket revenue after taxes, fees, and show expenses are covered (Net Gross - show expenses or manual split point)
% of Net Gross
In additional to guarantee, offers a percentage of ticket revenue after taxes and fees are covered (Net Gross = Total Gross - Total Taxes, Facility Fees, and other Pre-settlement Fees)
Per ticket
In addition to the guarantee, offers a flat amount per ticket, which can be conditional based on percentage of sell through or number of tickets sold
Flat
In addition to the guarantee, offers a flat amount, which can be conditional based on percentage of sell through, number of tickets sold, or a manual split point
Versus deal
What is it?
Offers the artist either a guarantee or a percentage of the show; the payout will be based on whichever value is higher
% of Net
Offers either the Guarantee or a percentage of the Net Revenue (Net Gross minus show expenses or a manual split point), whichever is higher
% of Net Gross
Offers either the Guarantee or a percentage of Net Gross on the show (Net Gross = Total Gross - Total Taxes, Facility Fees, and other Pre-settlement Fees), whichever is higher
Retroactive Bonuses
You have the ability to add multiple retroactive bonuses to Door Deals, Plus, and Versus Deals to increase the % payout after a certain number of tickets are sold or a certain % of tickets are sold. For example, let's say you are offering $5k vs 85% Net, but that percentage switches to 90% at 300 tickets sold, and 95% at sellout. If you have 350 Sellable tickets, you would build the bonuses out as pictured below. As you enter ticket sales at settlement, Prism will calculate which bonus % should kick in and display the winning bonus at settlement.
Note that Comps and Kills will be deducted from the Sellable amount so if the bonus is not kicking in on offer or settlement, double check that the bonus terms are based on Sellable tickets!
Co-headliner Deals
The easiest way to build a co-headliner deal in Prism is to add both artists into the same Deal and choose the "(Not in Spotify)" option. Enter the Deal Type and overall deal points to the deal builder and then click save. Both of the artists names will show at the top of the offer.
Support Deals
You have the option to add additional artists to an event and build out support deals with separate offers on an event as well!
Click the "Add Artist" button on the Deals tab to add a Support Deal and select the "Support" radio button. If the "Include in Deal" toggle is on, the support artist's payout will be added as an expense line item impacting the headliner artist's split point. Alternatively, if the headliner will be paying out the support artist, turn the "Include in Deal" toggle off and deduct the support artist payout from the Headliner's payout as an adjustment, make sure to leave the "Affects External Settlement Only" toggle off.
