Step 1

for this guide, we will select a Sweden-based server.
Step 2
Proceed to Terminal application.
Step 3
In the Terminal, enter this line: sudo apt-get install network-manager-openvpn network-manager-openvpn-gnome resolvconf
Enter your password for the Linux account.
Step 4
When the installation process is completed. Left-click on the Network icon below and then select Network Connections.
Step 5
Click + sign to add a new connection.
Step 6
Select Import a saved VPN configuration... from the list and then click Create...
Step 7
Locate and select the configuration file. Click Open.
Step 8
Enter the following information:
βConnection name: (any name would do)
βUsername: (your PrivateVPN registered email address)
βPassword: (your PrivateVPN password)
Click on Save.
Step 9
Left-click on the Network icon below then toggle VPN Connections to connect.
Connected!
