How to fix DNS Leak on Linux

Select your VPN Setup:

Network Manager Setup

Step 1

Click the Settings button of the VPN Profile.


Step 2

Select IPv4 at the top tabs and then disable Automatic for DNS.


Step 3

Enter 10.35.53.1 and 10.35.53.2 under DNS (separated by a comma).

Click Apply button and then reconnect to the VPN.


Terminal Setup

Step 1

Open the configuration file (.ovpn) on a text editor.


Step 2

Include the following lines:

script-security 2
up /etc/openvpn/update-resolv-conf
down /etc/openvpn/update-resolv-conf

Step 3

Click Save button and then reconnect to the VPN.
