How to Set Preferences on your Process Map

A user can choose whether certain items should display on their map

Written by Hylet Pistorius

Available Preferences

  1. Show data objects and storage on map? If this is toggled ON, data stores and objects will be displayed as nodes on the map. If it is toggled OFF, the data objects and storage will only display on the right-hand side diagram content menu.

  2. Open Node Details by default. When this is toggled ON, selecting a node (activity, decision, process link, event) opens Edit Details card. When this is toggled OFF, selecting a node (activity, decision, process link, event) opens Edit Title card.

Preferences are user-specific, so each user can choose whether to display the preferences button on the map.

Quick Steps to Enable and Disable Preferences:

  1. Select the preferences button at the top of the page. Update User Preferences card opens up.

  2. Select the toggle to switch it ON or OFF. It will turn green and display a tick when turned ON.

  3. Close the card by selecting the cross in the top right corner.
