Create a NetSuite user setup account and API Credentials
Updated over a week ago

The following article is part of connecting NetSuite to Procurify. For more information, see NetSuite Integration Overview.

Our NetSuite integration requires the creation of a service account which will be used to authenticate the transmission of information between Procurify and NetSuite. To ensure continuity of the sync for your organization, you may need to reach out to your IT administrators to have a service account email created to use in this process.

Steps:

I. Create a dedicated NetSuite Integrations Superuser

  1. In Procurify, go to Settings β†’ Manage User

  2. Click + Add new user. Use a service account email which you and other administrators in your organization have access to in case the password ever needs to be reset for this user. Name the user NetSuite Integration as shown in the screenshot below.

  3. Assign the Role of Superuser using the dropdown menu

  4. Ensure to check the email to set the password for the user. Best Practice: Use a password vault to store this password and provide the password to the relevant employees.

  5. Once the form is completed, click the Add User button.

  6. Open the email received to create the password for this user.

Important: The user created above must always be active to keep the API connection open.

II. Create the API Credentials

  1. Log in to your domain as the user created in the steps above.

  2. Navigate to Settings β†’ Integrations

  3. Under Procurify API, click View. If you do not see the Procurify API option or do not see the screen below, please reach out to a Procurify Representative.

  4. In the Description Field, enter NetSuite and click Create Application. Note: The page may take a few seconds to load, do not navigate away.

  5. The page will generate a Client ID and Client Secret. Important: These credentials are only displayed once, ensure save these credentials somewhere safe, such as a Password Vault application.

If you are configuring NetSuite PO/Item Receipt, these credentials will be used later.
