Issue:

  • Receiving error message: There was an error when storing {AMP}quot;____[data value]__{AMP}quot; in the {AMP}quot;__[QuickBooks data field name]__{AMP}quot; field. QuickBooks error message: Names in this list cannot contain a colon. The colon is a special character used to indicate a parent/child relationship.

Cause:

QuickBooks data exports use the colon to specific parent/child relationships for account codes, customer - job codes, etc. Therefore, it reserves colons for the purpose and will be process colons used in text data on the PO. QuickBooks example of parent/child.

Resolution:

  1. Locate data in Procurify that is experiencing the error

  2. Correct data value in Procurify by removing the colon

  3. Re-run PO integration application

  4. If the error still persists, retrieve the error log in ‘VERBOSE’ mode and contact our Technical Support Team by scrolling to the top of the following web page and selecting Contact Us available at the top right-hand side of the screen.

  5. If you cannot edit Procurify data
