The Image Swatch input type lets you display images as selectable options on the product page.

Merchants can choose whether customers can select one or multiple images.

To create an Image Swatch option, follow these steps:

Step 1

Click the Create option button under the options section in the Product Customizer app.

Step 2

Enter the Admin Name, Option Name, and Option Label—these are required fields. The option cannot be saved if any of them are left blank.

Step 3

Select 'Image Swatch' as the input type. Add images and their names, and set an add-on price for each if needed. To allow customers to select more than one image, enable 'Allow Multiple Selections.' To make the option mandatory before adding the product to the cart, enable 'Option Selection Required.'

Step 4

Swatch Settings
Customize how the swatches appear on the storefront:

  • Layout: Vertical or Horizontal

  • Size: Small or Large

  • Shape: Square or Circle

  • Hide names/titles on storefront (optional)

Styling (Optional)
Custom CSS can be applied to adjust the appearance of Image Swatches further.

Once you’ve finished configuring the option, click the 'Save' button at the top of the screen.

Step 5

Now it’s time to add your option to a product! Once it’s added, hop over to the product page and check out your Image Swatch in action.
