Proposal Tabs: Document, Feed, and Analytics (Beta)

Explore the Proposal workspace in Productive, including Document, Feed, and Analytics tabs for tracking and managing proposals.

Updated today

The Proposal workspace in Productive gives you a central hub to manage all aspects of a proposal. Each proposal has three tabs: Document, Feed, and Analytics.

The Analytics tab and proposal engagement tracking are available on the Ultimate subscription plan.

Document Tab

The Document tab displays the proposal PDF and all related document actions. You can:

  • View the current proposal version

  • Download the original or signed version

  • Edit, regenerate, or delete the proposal (if allowed)

  • Check and update the proposal status (Draft, Sent, Accepted, Rejected)

๐Ÿ“Œ Only proposals in Draft state can be edited or regenerated.

Feed Tab

The Feed tab captures all activity and collaboration around the proposal:

  • Tracks every change made to the proposal in Productive

  • Lets you leave comments, tag colleagues, and share notes

  • Logs status changes (e.g., Sent โ†’ Accepted)

  • Records all emails sent through Productive, keeping communication centralized

The Feed tab helps your team stay aligned and maintains a full audit trail of each proposalโ€™s history.

Analytics Tab (Ultimate Plan Only)

The Analytics tab lets you monitor how clients interact with proposals sent via public links. Tracking engagement helps you understand client interest by showing when and how often your proposal was opened, allowing you to assess engagement levels before following up.

๐Ÿ“Œ Only proposals with public links generate analytics data. Draft proposals or those sent without public links will not include engagement metrics.

Analytics Structure

The tab is divided into two main sections:

1. Overview

  • Date Sent: When the proposal was sent

  • Interactions: Total number of times the public link was opened

2. Viewed Sessions

A table showing each time the proposal link was opened, including:

  • Session: Identifier for each interaction

  • Date Opened: Timestamp when the proposal was viewed

Tips for Using the Proposal Tabs

  • Document Tab: Keep the proposal up to date and confirm the correct version before sending.

  • Feed Tab: Use comments and mentions to collaborate internally and log updates.

  • Analytics Tab: Track engagement to plan follow-ups more effectively.
