If e-invoicing is enabled in your settings and all required sender and recipient details are in place, you'll have the option to send finalized invoices directly through FACe (for government clients) or FACeB2B (for commercial clients), Spain's e-invoicing networks.
This guide covers how to send an e-invoice from Productive, including the required data fields and how validation works.
FACe e-invoicing is currently in Beta and is being rolled out gradually. If you're interested in testing it, reach out to us via in-app chat to have it enabled for your account.
Good to Know: Limitations by Plan
There is a monthly limit on the number of invoices you can send via FACe, based on your plan:
Essential Plan: 10 invoices
Professional Plan: 50 invoices
Ultimate Plan: 100 invoices
š You must be on a paid plan to send invoices via FACe. This option is not available during the trial period.
You'll see the transaction counter in Settings > Invoicing > E-Invoicing and when selecting Send to client > Send e-invoice.
How to Send an Invoice via FACe or FACeB2B
Open the finalized invoice you want to send.
Open the Send to Client dropdown in the upper-right corner and select Send e-invoice.
Click Send Invoice. Productive validates the required fields before submitting the invoice to FACe.
This opens a modal where you need to add:
DIRe code, if you are sending the invoice to a commercial (non-government) client.
Or, if you are sending it to a government client, enable the Government Client toggle and add:
Accounting office (Oficina contable)
Management body (Ćrgano gestor)
Processing unit (Unidad Tramitadora)
ā
š A PDF copy of the invoice is always attached when sending via FACe. There's no setting to turn this off.
Requirements for Sending via FACe
1. Invoice Information
The invoice must be finalized, have an invoice number, and have a due date set.
2. Client (Bill To) Information
Full Company Name
Tax ID (Spanish Tax ID)
Address (Street, City, ZIP Code, State, and Country)
DIRe code (commercial clients) or Accounting office, Management body, and Processing unit information (government clients) set up in CRM > Companies > E-Invoicing Information (or entered when sending the e-invoice).
3. Sender (Bill From) Information
Full Company Name
Tax ID (Spanish Tax ID)
Address (Street, City, ZIP/Postcode, State, and Country)
š Bill From information must match your subsidiary settings exactly. Manual edits to addresses on the invoice can cause the submission to be rejected.
4. Subsidiary Bank Account
A valid bank account for the invoice-sending subsidiary must be configured under Settings > Company Info > Bank Accounts.
Validation Status
Successful Validation
A confirmation appears in the invoice feed.
Validation Errors
If any errors are detected, a popup displays the issues.
Troubleshooting Validation Errors
If you run into validation issues, check the following:
Client Tax ID and address: Ensure these are entered correctly in CRM > Companies.
Sender Tax ID and address: Verify these match your subsidiary settings.
Bank Account: Confirm the subsidiary has a valid IBAN set up.
Bill To / Bill From addresses: Ensure these match the addresses configured in your e-invoicing and subsidiary settings.
š For further assistance, review your e-invoicing settings in Set Up for Sending FACe Invoices.
