With Dictate message, you can speak instead of typing across Productive: in the AI Assistant, Docs, tasks, and comments.

Start dictation, and the AI transcribes your speech into text so you can review it before you send or save it.

📌 To use Dictate message, Productive AI must be turned on. Transcription uses your organization's AI credits.

📌 Productive automatically detects the language you speak. Transcription may not be perfectly accurate, so review the text before you send or save it.

Dictation works the same way everywhere you use it:

📌 Dictation never sends or saves automatically. You always review the transcribed text first.

The microphone is in the chat input. Your transcribed speech is added to the message so you can review and edit it before sending.

Start dictation from the editor commands: type "/" in the editor and choose the dictation command. Your transcribed speech is inserted at your cursor.

Dictation is available in Productive's rich text editor, so you can use it in task descriptions, comments, and other places you write.

Click the microphone in the field, and your transcribed speech appears there, ready to review and edit before you save or post it.

Talk to Type needs access to your microphone. Your browser will ask for permission the first time you use it.

You can change microphone access later in your browser settings.

📌 In Safari, you'll be asked for microphone permission each time you use dictation. To allow it permanently, set the microphone to Allow for Productive in your Safari website settings.
