Can I reprice a Virtual Bundle?
Updated over a week ago

Amazon provides the functionality on seller central to create a virtual bundle without the need to create a new ASIN or to pre-package them together (this is why its offered for FBA SKUs only). The way it works you pick a main ASIN to be displayed and then you are free to add 1 to 4 more ASINs to bundle it with. If you refer to this example you will see that the "laminator machine" is the main ASIN and it is bundled with the pouches.

Unfortunately, it appears that repricing virtual bundles isn't as flexible as desired. It seems there's no straightforward way to programmatically update the price of a virtual bundle on a daily basis. Additionally, there doesn't seem to be any API support for virtual bundle data, as these bundles lack their own ASINs. This absence of an ASIN makes it challenging to predict, optimize, or reprice virtual bundles using automated tools.

While there may not be an automated solution, there is a potential workaround that involves some manual steps. Customers could define an acceptable bundle price or we could recommend one based on a percentage above the cost. Then, customers would set this price in Seller Central. Our team then would need to calculate the minimum price for each of the ASINs in the bundle to ensure that the bundle price remains lower than the sum of the individual ASIN prices. This workaround doesn't require additional engineering but does involve a process that our Customer Success team would need to manage, although it could potentially be time-consuming and may require careful consideration of its value.
