What are the payment fees?

Invoices paid through the Stripe facilitated online checkout will attract a transaction fee.

The fee includes a 0.75% Programa Application Fee, plus Stripe's processing fee which is, on average, around 2.9% + 30 cents for credit card transactions, or 2.15% + 30 cents for bank transfers or ACH. However, this may vary, depending on your region. These are subject to change - please refer to Stripe's pricing page for more info.

A 0.4% invoicing fee will also be issued by Stripe after an invoice has been paid successfully (or 0.5% for customers on Stripe's Invoicing Plus plan). More info here.

Please note, invoices paid outside of the Stripe checkout (e.g. manually via internet banking or cheque) will not be charged a transaction fee.

Can I pass on transaction fees to clients?

Yes, transaction fees (Payment Fees) can be passed on to clients at the point of issuing an invoice. Simply switch on the 'Pass-on transaction fee to client?' toggle and fill in the relevant fields.

The transaction fee will appear as a single line item on the invoice issued to your client.

Do I get charged for failed payments?

No, Programa and Stripe do not charge fees for failed payments.

How long until I received the funds?

Once a client has paid your invoice, Stripe will send funds to your bank account within 2 business days. Please note, your first payout may take up to 7 days to clear into your nominated bank account. This is a security process mandated b Stripe. All subsequent payouts will arrive according to your payout settings.

Can I remove the Stripe payment link from my invoices?

Yes - you can remove the Stripe payment link from your invoicing template. The means your clients won't have access to the Stripe checkout, and therefore no transaction fee will be charged. Here's a quick tutorial on How to remove the Stripe payment link from invoices.
