Adding images from your Pinterest boards to your Pinboards has never been easier! Learn how to import your Pinterest images quickly and easily with just a few clicks.

Please note you can only add images from public Pinterest boards; secret boards and pins will not be recognised by the system. You can turn them back to secret once you have finished importing your images.

Add an image from Pinterest with a URL

  1. Navigate to your Pinterest board on a separate browser tab

  2. Copy the Pinterest board's url from your browser's address bar (Note: Not the image/board sharing tool)

  3. Switch back to your Programa tab, and select either the '+ Add New' button in the top right-hand corner of your Pinboard, or hover your mouse over your desired section, and select the ➕ button.

  4. Select 'Add from Pinterest'

  5. Paste the link into the field provided and hit Enter/return

  6. Select the image(s) you'd like to import into your Pinboard

  7. Click 'Add' to upload them

Please note: You’ll need to copy the Pinterest board link directly from your browser’s address bar, copying from the 'Share' option won’t work.

Add an image from Pinterest using the Web Clipper

Open the Web Clipper on your chosen Pinterest board, and select 'Add to Pinboard'.

Scroll to the end of the thumbnails shown to 'Fetch more images'

Note: you will also need to scroll down the web page to load more images. If you receive a "No images fetched" error, simply scroll down the page, and try again.

Select all of the images you wish to add to your Pinboard, and click 'Clip'.

FAQs

Why aren't all images on the Pinterest board pulling through to Programa?

This is a limitation of the Pinterest API. A maximum of 50 images can be pulled through to Programa using the board url. If you have more than 50 images to retrieve, we'd recommend using the Web Clipper instead.

Why are the images I clipped blurry?

When selecting multiple images from a Pinterest board using the Web Clipper, the images are retrieved as you see them - in their thumbnail format. This may result in a blurry image if the resolution on the thumbnail image is low. To overcome this, we'd recommend opening the images you'd like to see with a higher resolution, and clipping at a larger scale. More info here: Add a Pinboard image with the Web Clipper

Why do the images pulled through not match those on my Pinterest board?

The Pinterest integration allows third parties, like Programa, to retrieve pins from boards, but not from board sections. If the images that have landed in Programa don't match those in Pinterest, click back a page in Pinterest to see which of your board images are available to import.
