Whether you have been out of the office on site all day or just prefer to enter in all of your time entries at the end of the day, you can use Programa’s manual time entry option to keep on top of your time tracking!

Video Demonstration:

Instructions:

  1. Navigate to the Time Tracking screen located in the left-hand toolbar.

  2. Click the black 'Add Time Entry' button located at the top right hand side of the screen

  3. Enter in your Hours and Minutes you spent on a specific task

  4. Choose the Date you would like to log the time entry too

  5. Fill in the project details including the Project name, the Board that the task is located in, the Column the task is located in and the Task Card.

  6. Add in any additional Notes if needed.

  7. Click on the black 'Save' button to log your time entry.

Project Management Update - Adding a time entry to an old board:

With our new Project Management tools, if you are looking to manually add a time entry to an existing board, you'll need to follow a quick workaround to have these appear in your time entries. Here's a quick step-by-step:

1. Head to your relevant task card within your existing board.

2. Start and stop the timer within this task card. N.B: You don't need to leave this on for long, this is just to ensure a time entry is added to the task card.

3. Head to your Time Tracking dashboard to see your new time entry, and edit the time accordingly.

Common Questions:

What if I don’t have a task set up for the time entry I would like to log?

You will have to go to your Project Board or Studio view and add in a task to track your time against. We always suggest creating a Task Card called “General” in each of your Project Boards, that way when you need to log time for a task you did not plan for, you can log your time against the “General” Task Card.

I can’t seem to save my manual time entry, I’m unable to click save.

This commonly happens when required fields haven’t been completed. In addition to your time and date, please ensure you have selected a project, status and task from the available options.
