Written by Gail Esterhuyse

This guide explains how to use the ready-made templates and create your own custom templates that match your studio's workflow.

Default templates included with your account

When you create your Programa account, you'll find two ready-to-use template projects on your dashboard:

1. Decor & Styling Template

This template is designed for decor and styling projects. It includes pre-configured tasks and design phases tailored for styling work, a furniture and decor schedule, a complete set of project schedules, and a placeholder pinboard with sample layouts.

2. Interior Design & Architecture Template

This template is built for comprehensive design projects spanning multiple stages. It includes tasks and design phases for full-service interior design and architecture work, a complete set of project schedules, and a placeholder pinboard with sample layouts.

Note: If you don't see these templates on your Projects dashboard, contact our support team via live chat to have them added to your account.

Reviewing and customizing templates

Before using a template, review and customize the content to match your project needs:

  1. Open the Project Management tab and review the tasks, phases, and schedules

  2. Examine the template schedules and pinboards

  3. Rename files by clicking directly on the Schedule name, enter your new title in the field provided and hit Enter.

Duplicating a template project

To create a new project from a template:

  1. Navigate to the template project card on your dashboard

  2. Click the three dots in the bottom right corner and select Duplicate

  3. Wait for the duplication to complete (this may take a few minutes depending on project size)

  4. A new project named "Template Project Copy" will appear on your dashboard

  5. Click the 3-dot icon in the bottom right corner of the card to open project settings and rename it
