What is Studio Status?

Throughout the design process designers will change the status of the products that have been added into their schedule as they progress to specification and ultimately, procurement.

Studio Status is a filtering option available within a Programa for Brands Leads dashboard that helps suppliers track the progress of their specified products.

This transparency provides a valuable opportunity for your sales team to identify the optimum time to engage, assist and manage the sale to ensure the products stay in the spec and don’t get substituted.

Studio Status Stages

The stages that a studio will progress products through are as follows:

  • Draft

  • Selected

  • Quoting

  • Internal Review

  • Client Review

  • Resubmit

  • Closed

  • Rejected

  • Approved

  • Ordered

  • Payment Due

  • In Production

  • In Transit

  • Installed

  • Delivered

Please note, studios may not necessarily move their product selection along each stage in sequential order and jump between stages.

The stages where your team can provide the most value to assist designers with specifying the right solution for a project are:

Selected - the product has moved past the Draft stage and has been chosen for the project

Quoting - the studio is actively seeking quotes for the selected products within the schedule

Internal Review - the studio is reviewing the product selection to ensure it is fit for purpose

Client Review - the studio has presented the product selection to their client for consideration

Keep in mind that if your product is enters the Rejected stage at any point, this can be valuable opportunity to reignite contact and suggest alternative solutions.
