Integrations: Hover

A step by step guide to connecting Hover with ProLine, mapping measurements, importing reports, and using Hover data to build accurate quotes.

Written by Laura Acosta

Overview

Integrating Hover with your ProLine account enables seamless import of detailed property measurements, streamlining your workflow and helping you generate more accurate quotes with ease. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to set up the integration, map measurements, and use those imported details in your quoting process.

Please note: Third-party integrations are included with your Hover accounts if you are on Scale or higher. Contact Hover should you need to verify or have additional questions.

Access Hover in Integrations

To access the Hover integration in ProLine, follow these steps:

  1. Click the hamburger menu (☰) in the top left corner of your ProLine account.

  2. Click Integrations.

  3. Find Hover in the integrations list.

  4. Click Hover to open and manage the integration settings.

1. Default ProLine Measurement Field Setup

Out of the box, within your company settings your ProLine account comes equipped with standard roofing measurements:

  • Ridges

  • Hips

  • Valleys

  • Rakes

  • Eaves

However, if you want to leverage other data points from Hover, such as corners, openings, or siding areas. You’ll need to first create those fields in ProLine manually as explained in step 2.

2. Adding additional measurements (Non-Default)

With Hover having so many data points that do not come included with ProLine from the start you will need to create new measurement titles; this will allow you to then map the new measurement titles to the data points in which Hover provides.

To start:

  • Navigate to your top left corner where your hamburger button is

  • Click on Company Settings

  • Select the Measurements option on the left menu.

  • Expand “Measurement Report Fields” by hitting the drop down arrow

  • Click “Add Measurement” and type in the name of the field you wish to import from Hover (ex: "Inside Corners - Siding Quantity").

  • Hit “Create”.

    • This new field will now be available for mapping on the integrations page.

  • Repeat this process for each data point you want to sync from Hover.

Helpful Tip: If you want to have the exact same verbiage as Hover for consistency, simply bounce between both tabs of settings and the Hover integrations page (see next step), then copy and paste!

If this step is not completed by adding all measurement points you wish to pull from Hover you will not see them on the integrations page to map. This limits the integration, as ProLine only provides roofing measurements to start at this time.

3. Mapping Measurements

After creating all the ProLine measurement fields you want to use, you can map them to Hover data points.

  • Click the hamburger menu (☰) in the top left corner.

  • Select Integrations.

  • Find and click Hover to open the integration settings.

  • Scroll through the list of Hover measurement data points.

    • Roofing measurements appear first.

    • Siding and additional measurements appear further down the list.

  • For each Hover data point:

    • Use the dropdown next to it to select the matching ProLine Measurement Field.

  • Repeat this process for every Hover measurement you want to sync.

Important:
If a Hover measurement is not mapped, it will not import into ProLine, even if the Hover report contains data for it. ProLine only imports mapped measurement fields.

4. Enabling Integration

Once all desired measurements are mapped, you must enable the integration.

  • Scroll to the bottom of the Hover integration page.

  • Click Enable Integration.

  • You will be redirected to Hover’s login screen.

  • Sign in using your Hover account credentials.

    • If you see an error, confirm your Hover plan supports integrations.

  • After signing in, you will be redirected back to ProLine.

  • The Hover integration is now active and ready to use in projects.

You can now close the integration settings and begin importing Hover reports into your ProLine projects.

5. Using the Hover Integration in a Project (Import vs. Ordering)

What is Importing?: Pulling a report that has already been ordered and importing the data points into your ProLine project.

What is Ordering?: Submitting the measurement order request via ProLine, and once the report is finalized, having the report and data points pulled into the measurements tab that you ordered from.

  • This is an important distinction with the Hover reports compared to any other measurement reports with ProLine. Hover is IMPORT only, this means all ordering has to be done via Hovers system and when it is ready you have the option to pull the results into ProLine. No ordering of a Hover report can be done within ProLine.

With that being said...Ready to use your Hover integration? Here’s how to start:

  • Go to any project in your ProLine dashboard and select the Measurement tab.

  • Click the Hover logo at the bottom of the screen. This action will auto-fill the address into the Hover search bar.

  • If no exact match is found, you can simply delete the address in the search bar to browse all your Hover projects to locate the correct one.

  • After selecting the Hover project you want, click Import.

  • The measurements will begin importing. Give it a few seconds to load the data from Hover to the measurement items in ProLine, you will see that the Hover report shows “placed” as it is loading the data.

  • Once all data has been pushed into ProLine you will the word “placed” (blue) turns to “completed” (green).

  • You can now expand that Hover measurement to show all measurement points based on how you had them configured in the integrations setting.

ProLine supports both single structure and multi-structure reports from Hover. If a report is a multi-structure you will see each structure as a dropdown within the report with its associated name.

6. Viewing & Editing Measurements

When expanding the measurement results, should there be anything that needs changing you have the availability to change them.

Go to the measurement item you’d like to adjust the value for, and input the new value. This will automatically save for you.

  • If certain fields were not mapped during the set up process, they will not appear in the final report.

  • A PDF version of the Hover report is available either directly within the Measurement tab (next to delete icon) or in the Files section of the project.

7. Using Hover Reports within a Quote

ProLine makes it easy to build quotes based on your imported Hover data:

  • Go to the Quote tab within the project

  • Click “New Quote” in your project dashboard.

  • Select a singular structure or multiple structures and attach the Hover report.

  • Choose your quote style (Roof Replacement, Detail Pricing, Multi-option).

  • Hit Create, and within seconds, your quote is generated.

From there, you can tweak pricing, adjust settings, and send the quote out for e-signature, all from within the platform.

Keep in mind:
When using a multi-structure Hover report, each structure included in the Hover measurement (main building, detached garage, shed, etc.) will now appear as its own structure page within the quote.

This means:

  • Each structure will display its own set of options and add-ons, allowing you to quote and manage them independently.

  • Your quote will clearly separate structures, making it easier to present multi-building projects to homeowners and track costs accurately.

In short, rather than combining all measurements into one report or page, ProLine now automatically generates a dedicated structure page for every structure included in the Hover report, keeping your quotes organized and clear.

Wrapping Up

The Hover integration is a powerful enhancement to ProLine, giving you greater flexibility and precision when working with property measurements. Whether you’re estimating a full roof replacement or a detailed siding project, this integration helps ensure your data is consistent, comprehensive, and ready to turn into a professional quote in minutes.
