Introduction

At Proline, we’re excited to introduce the powerful Image Annotation feature!

Whether you’re working at the project level or the contact level, you now have the ability to easily edit, annotate, and enhance images — all within Proline itself. No need for a third-party app unless you want to!

Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to get the most out of our Image Annotation tools.

Accessing Image Annotations

  1. Select Your File: Navigate to either your project files or contact files and click into the image you wish to annotate.

  2. Enter Edit Mode: Once inside, click Edit at the bottom.

You'll now see a toolbar on the left side offering various editing options.

At the top, you’ll see options to:

  • Rename the file.

  • Save your changes.

  • Cancel the editing process.

  • Revert the image back to its original state if needed.

Editing Tools Overview

1. Crop

  • Aspect Ratio: Choose different aspect ratios for your image.

  • Apply or Cancel: Apply your crop or cancel to return to the original.

2. Rotate

  • Flip and Rotate: You can rotate the image freely. Feel adventurous? Flip it upside down just for fun!

3. Text

  • Font Size and Color: Adjust the font size and pick your favorite color using a color picker.

  • Font Weight: Set the text to Normal or Bold.

Positioning: Drag and position your text anywhere on the image.

Example: Type "This is a cool house" in bold red and position it where it fits best!

4. Draw

  • Freehand Drawing: Mark up your image by circling, underlining, or "X-ing" items — just like using chalk on a roof inspection.

5. Shapes

  • Shape Selection: Add circles, rectangles, or triangles.

  • Shape Size: Adjust the width and height of your drawn shapes.

  • Stroke Control: Modify the stroke color and width.

  • Fill Color: Choose between solid colors or transparency for your drawings.

  • Proportional Scaling: Enable or disable proportional scaling depending on your needs.

6. Icons

  • Icon Types: Insert arrows, cancel (X) icons, and more.

  • Resizing: Dynamically resize icons to suit your annotations.

Undo, Revert, and Save

  • Undo: Undo one action at a time using the back arrow.

  • Revert: Completely reset the image to its original version by hitting Revert. A pop-up will confirm the action before proceeding.

  • Save: When happy with your edits, be sure to save to lock them in.

Conclusion

With Proline’s new Image Annotations, you now have everything you need to mark up images quickly and efficiently — without leaving the platform.Of course, if you prefer, you’re still welcome to use a secondary app. But with these powerful, built-in tools, we think you'll find most tasks can now be handled directly within Proline.

Happy annotating! 🎉
