Understanding Project Icon Colors

Project icon colors appear as small squares on project cards. These colors serve as a quick visual reference as projects move through your pipelines and workflow states. The color appears next to each project and can be configured using different logic.

Project Icon Color Options

You can choose from the following methods to determine the icon color:

1. Default Color

  • This is the simplest setting.

  • A random color is automatically assigned to each project when it’s created.

  • Ideal for teams that don’t require color-based organization.

2. Service Color

  • The icon color is derived from the first service associated with the project.

  • If no service is assigned, the system defaults to a random color.

  • You can define service colors under the Services section in your settings.

3. Assignee Color

  • The color is determined by the project’s assigned team member.

  • Team member colors are set in the Manage Team section.

  • This is useful for visually identifying who is responsible for which project.

Summary

Project icon colors enhance your ability to manage and identify projects efficiently. Whether you choose to randomize colors or tie them to services or team members, ProLine offers flexible options to fit your workflow.
