Integrations: Measurement

This guide will walk you through how to use the CSV Import option for single structure measurement reports effectively within the platform.

Written by Laura Acosta

Accessing the CSV Import Tool

To begin the process:

  1. Click the hamburger menu (☰) in the top-left corner of the ProLine interface.

  2. Navigate to Integrations.

  3. Inside the Integrations page, tab over to the "Measurement" section.

  4. Look for the CSV logo at the top of the measurement section; this is where you'll initiate your CSV import.

Why Use CSV Import?

While ProLine supports several native measurement integrations; Eagleview, GAF QuickMeasure and Hover, you might use other measurement tools that we don't have native integrations for, and the CSV import option allows you to continue using your preferred external measurement tools by converting their reports to CSV format and importing them directly into ProLine.

This means:

  • You can download a CSV from your external provider.

  • Then, import it into a ProLine project with a single click.

  • The imported data can be used just like native measurement reports in the quoting process.

Note: The CSV import does not support multi-structure reports.

Mapping CSV Fields to ProLine

Before you can use the imported data, you'll need to map the CSV fields to corresponding fields in your ProLine account:

  • The left side of the mapping interface displays fields from your CSV file.

  • The right side shows fields available in your ProLine measurement settings.

    Example mappings:

    • Total Area → Total Area

    • Eaves → Eaves

    • Valleys → Valleys

    • Hips → Hips

    • Ridges → Ridges

    • Rakes → Rakes

Custom Fields

If your CSV includes a measurement that doesn’t yet exist in your ProLine account:

  1. Go to Company Settings.

  2. Click the “Measurements” tab

  3. Expand the Measurement Report Fields.

  4. Add the new field so it becomes selectable in the dropdown during mapping.

Enabling the Integration

Once you've completed your field mappings:

  1. Click "Enable Integration".

    • No additional authentication is required, as this is not tied to a third-party API.

  2. Navigate to any ProLine project.

  3. You will now see the CSV import option available alongside your other measurement providers.

  4. Select and import your CSV file directly into the project.

Tip: On the integrations page, a green checkmark on the CSV integration tile indicates that the integration is active.

Toggling the CSV Integration

You can easily disable or re-enable the CSV import feature at any time:

  • Disable: The CSV option will no longer appear in your projects.

  • Re-enable: It will return immediately with your previous mappings intact.
