Learn how to add Content Cells to your Quote Template pages and Project-Level quote pages.

Overview

Content Cells are modular blocks you can add inside your quote pages to collect customer information, display instructions, capture acknowledgements, and add images or signatures.

They work like form fields built directly into your quote, useful for pairing with uploaded PDFs, collecting homeowner details, or adding acknowledgment fields without needing a separate Form Page.

Important: Content Cells can only be added to Text, Cover, Option, Add-on, File, or Gallery pages.

Note: Content Cells cannot be added from the mobile app. To add Content Cells, use the browser version of ProLine.

How to Access and Add Content Cells

There are two ways to add content cells depending on your current context:

Option 1: Via Quote Templates

  1. Click the hamburger menu (☰)Company Settings (this opens a new browser window).

  2. Select Quote Templates from the left menu.

  3. Open an existing template using the pencil icon, or click either +Add Quote Template to create a new one, or Add Quote Template from Library to import a pre-built template.

  4. Click the blue +Add a page button in the left sidebar to select from the Page Type dropdown either a Text, Cover, Option, Add-on, File, or Gallery page.

  5. At the top-right corner of the page editor, click Add Content.

Option 2: Via a Project

  1. Open a project and click the Quote tab.

  2. Click the pencil icon on the quote you want to edit.

  3. Click on a supported page type in the left sidebar.

  4. Click Add Content at the top-right corner of the page editor.

A modal window will appear where you can configure and add Content Cells.

Customizing Content Cells

Note: Content Cells added at the Quote Template level apply to all new quotes using that template. Cells added at the project level apply only to that specific quote.

Adding a Content Cell

  1. Click Add Content at the top-right corner of the page editor.

  2. In the popup, click the blue +Add Content button.

  3. The Add Cell modal will appear.

  4. Configure the cell settings (see below).

  5. Click Save to add the cell, or Close to cancel.

Cell Type

Select the type of content or input the cell will display:

Content - Text

Content - Signature

Automatically Signed Field: Displays the primary signer's signature once the quote is signed

Cell Width

Controls how wide the cell appears on the page:

Frame Color

Required

Mark the cell as required (Yes) or optional (No). Required fields must be completed before the customer can sign the quote. Use sparingly to avoid friction during signing.

Prefill Content Type

Select a variable to automatically populate the cell with customer or project data. Defaults to "Static Text (type below)." Common variables include:

  • Contact First/Last Name, Email, Phone, Address, City, State, Zip

  • User First/Last Name, Phone, Photo

When "Static Text" is selected, a Static Prefill Text field appears where you can enter default or example text.

Other Common Use Cases

  • Inspection acknowledgements — Add a signature cell on a Gallery page so homeowners confirm they've reviewed roof damage photos.

  • Supplement documentation — Pair a File page with an uploaded scope PDF and a signature cell so the customer acknowledges the added work.

  • Special instructions — Add a multi-line input on a Text page for homeowners to note gate codes, pets, or parking restrictions before the crew arrives.
