How to Manage User Permissions in ProLine

This guide walks you through accessing and changing user permissions.

You can set up and customize permissions and permission profiles for your team members in ProLine, allowing you to manage and fully customize user permissions.

To access permission settings, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Manage Team Page:

    • Click on the hamburger menu (☰).

    • Select Manage Team.

  2. Select a Team Member:

    • Choose any non-owner teammate or the Add New Team Member option.

    • Open their profile to edit permissions.


ProLine Permission Levels

Different types of user roles have specific permissions:

  • Admin: Full access to the platform, except for removing the owner.

  • Disabled: Logs the user out of ProLine and prevents access, but does not delete the account. This option will not appear when adding new team members but will be available for existing user profiles.

  • Restricted: Allows for custom permission profiles.

Assigning a Permission Profile:

  1. In the team member's profile, under the Permissions section, choose the Restricted radio button, then a permission profile from the dropdown menu.

  2. Select from the available profiles, such as Manager or Basic (the defaults).

  3. To customize these profiles, in the Manage Team page, scroll down to and select the profile you wish to edit.

Customizing Profile Access

Custom permission profiles allow detailed control over what users can access within ProLine:

  1. Edit Existing Profiles:

    • Click the Edit button (pencil icon) next to a profile (e.g., Manager, Basic, Sales).

    • Adjust permissions as needed.

  2. Add a New Profile:

    • Click Add Permission Profile.

    • Name the profile (e.g., Sales or after a specific team member).

    • Customize the permissions for the new profile by enabling or disabling access to various features.

Example: Customizing Salesperson Profile

  1. Platform Access:

    • Disable features like Company Settings, Business Reports, and Import Data.

    • Adjust access to specific reports, notifications, and contact management.

  2. Project Tabs Access:

    • Customize access to tabs such as Invoices, Measurements, and Files.

    • Specific tabs like Budgets and Quotes have additional settings (e.g., allowing view but not delete access).

  3. Account and Pipeline Access:

    • Decide whether the user can log in as other team members.

    • Control access to various pipelines (e.g., only allowing access to the Sales pipeline).

Deleting Permission Profiles

To delete a permission profile:

  1. Select the profile you want to delete and click on the Edit button (pencil icon).

  2. Click on the Delete Permission Profile option:

  3. Choose a replacement profile for users currently assigned to the deleted profile.

  4. Confirm the deletion.
