What are Notifications?

Notifications are mobile app alerts (push notifications) or emails that inform users about updates, reminders, or important information within the ProLine app. Notifications help keep users aware of different actions happening in their projects without needing to manually check the projects throughout the day.

Accessing Notification Settings

To adjust your notification preferences:

  1. Open the hamburger menu (☰) within ProLine.

  2. Navigate to Account Settings.

  3. Select Notifications to the right.

From here, you can enable or disable push notifications (for the mobile app) and email notifications for a wide range of actions.

Global and User Notifications

Within your Notification Settings, Admin users will see both User Notifications and Global Notifications:

  • User Notifications: These apply to activity related to projects or items assigned to you, or linked to your ProLine number.

  • Global Notifications: These cover all activity across every project in your company's ProLine account, regardless of assignment.

Note: The Global Notifications section is only visible to Admin users. If you're not an Admin, this section will not appear in your settings. To check more on this, you can check this article: Account Settings: Notifications - Global (Admin)

User Notifications

You can choose to receive push, email, both, or no notifications for the following events:

  • New Message: Alerts when you receive a text

  • New Chat Message: Alerts you when you receive a message through the internal chat.

  • AI Agent Message Received: If listed as an AI Agents assignee you will be notified when/if someone texts the AI Agent’s number.

  • Incoming Call: Alerts when you receive a call

  • Message Failed: Lets you know if a text delivery has failed

  • Contact Opt-Out: When a user replies “STOP” or unsubscribes from communication

  • Email Opened Alerts you when a homeowner has opened an email (does this for each open)

  • Quote Opened: When the contact opens a quote

  • Quote Signed: When the contact signs a quote

  • Invoice Opened: When the contact opens an invoice

  • Invoice Paid: When an invoice has been fully paid.

  • New Payment: The contact has made a payment within ProLine (merchant processing)

  • Payment Complete: When a payment successfully processes

  • Task Assigned: Sends alerts when a task is assigned to you.

  • Task Due: Alerts you when the task you’ve been assigned is due that day.

  • Measurement Report Status: Getting notified when measurement order goes from “placed” to “complete” and is now viewable within the project.

  • Auto-Step Notifications: this applies to the “Send Push Notification” or “Send Email Notification” campaign steps.

  • New Referrals: When a homeowner refers someone to you via the project portal.

  • Out of Date Contractor Files: This notification will come from Contractor Hub based on the Expiry date.

Personalizing Your Notification Preferences

You have the ability to set your preferences based on how you work best. No one, not even your admins, can force specific notifications on you. However, your management may recommend certain best practices.

Some suggestions:

  • Enable all notifications initially, then disable the ones that feel redundant.

  • Choose settings that best support your daily responsibilities.

  • Use the default settings as a starting point, they’re often tailored to common roles

Reminder: If you’re not using the mobile app, push notifications won’t be effective. Consider relying on email notifications instead.
