Creating and Entering Measurements
Before generating a quote, you'll need measurement data in the project. Navigate to your project in ProLine and click the Measure tab.
From there, click + New Report to create a measurement report.
π For a full overview of all your measurement options β including native integrations (EagleView, GAF QuickMeasure, RoofScope, Hover), manual entry, and CSV imports β see Guide: Measurements in Projects.
A few things to keep in mind:
By default, a new report starts with a single structure. If you're working with multiple structures (e.g. a home, garage, and shed), create a separate structure entry for each within the report. This enables ProLine's multi-structure quoting capabilities.
Once your report is saved, it will be available to pull into any new quote for this project.
Generating a Quote
Once you have at least one measurement report, navigate to the Quote tab on the project.
Click + New Quote to get started.
A dialog will appear where you can:
Choose a Template β select from your company's pre-configured quote templates.
Name the quote β a name like the template is auto-filled, but you can adjust it.
Select structures β ProLine automatically links the most recent measurement report. If you want to pull in structures from a specific report (or combine structures across reports), select them manually from the list shown (e.g. Report 2 | Structure 1).
Click Create to generate the quote.
Customizing the Quote (Page Builder)
After creating the quote, you'll land in the Page Builder. This is where you configure the content and layout of your quote β what the customer sees.
The left panel shows all the pages included in your quote. The pages available will vary depending on your template and account setup. Click any page in the panel to select and edit it β each page type has its own set of customization options.
For Option pages, you can edit line item quantities and prices, add or remove line items, and add a banner image or description for additional customer-facing context.
You can add new pages at any time using the + Add a page button at the top of the left panel.
π For a full list of available quote page types and what each one does, see Company Settings: Quote Templates Overview.
Adjusting Quote Settings
Click the Settings tab (next to Page Builder) to configure how the quote is priced and presented.
π For a detailed breakdown of every available quote setting, see Managing a Project: Quotes β Settings Tab.
Key settings include:
Quote Name β the title shown on the cover page your customer sees.
Signing Requests β configure who needs to sign (primary contact is set automatically).
Profit Margin β adjust margin for this specific quote if your permissions allow.
Deposit β set a percentage or fixed deposit amount; you can also cap the maximum deposit (useful for state compliance).
Vendor Tax β add taxes to line item costs before margin is applied (not visible to the customer).
Rounding β choose how totals are rounded for cleaner customer-facing numbers.
Discounts β add fixed or percentage discounts; these stack in the order listed.
Financing Offer β configure an estimated monthly payment display using your own financing provider.
Price & Quantity Visibility β control whether customers see per-line-item pricing and quantities.
Attachments β attach files (PDFs, images) that will be included when the quote is sent.
π‘ Quote settings are autosaved as you go. You'll see a "Changes are autosaved" indicator in the top right of the quote editor.
Finalizing and Sending Quotes
Once your quote is ready:
A PDF preview of the quote will generate β review it to confirm everything looks correct before sending.
To send the quote:
Click Send Quote to deliver it to the customer via email or text message. You can customize the message content before sending.
Upon signature, ProLine can automatically move the project to the appropriate pipeline stage and trigger any configured follow-up workflows, based on your Quote Template settings.
