Payment Types and Deposit Timelines

Understanding payment processing times is crucial when collecting payments through your ProLine account. ProLine payments can be processed as card transactions (credit cards, debit cards) or ACH (Automated Clearing House) payments. Each method follows different timelines for the money to be deposited into your bank account.

Card Transactions

Card transactions are typically deposited one business day after the transaction date. For example, payments processed on Monday are generally deposited by the end of the day on Tuesday.

Exceptions:

  • Payments processed after 4 PM Eastern Time (1 PM on the West Coast) are usually pushed to the next business day. This means payments made after these times on a Friday are processed the following Monday morning and deposited on Tuesday.

  • Banking holidays may cause deposits to be delayed by an additional business day.

Note: These timelines are set by the banks and payment processors. ProLine has no control over these timelines.

ACH Transactions

Deposit Timeline: ACH payments take longer due to increased risk and verification processes. Generally, if an ACH payment is processed on Monday, it will be deposited into your bank account four business days later, on Friday.

Special Cases:

  • Payments processed after 4 PM Eastern Time (1 PM on the West Coast) are usually pushed to the next business day. This means payments made after these times on a Friday are processed the following Monday morning and deposited by the end of the day of the following Friday (a total of 7 days after the original payment).

  • Banking holidays may cause deposits to be delayed by an additional business day. For instance, if an ACH payment comes in after banking hours on a Friday before a Monday holiday, it is processed on Tuesday and may not be deposited until the following Monday (a total of 10 days after the original payment).

Note: These timelines are set by the banks and payment processors. ProLine has no control over these timelines.

We have an ongoing feature request for faster ACH deposit timelines (which we are relaying to our processing partners). Please view and vote on that idea here.

Tracking Payment and Deposit Status

To monitor the status of your payments and deposits:

  • Payment Information: Click on the payment information icon on the payment card located in the payments tab of the Billing area in the Project to access the detailed processor and transaction status. This includes information on any chargebacks or returns.

  • Deposit Details: Go to the Billing tab under Company Settings, scroll to the bottom, and click on Deposit Reports to view the status of deposits. Even if a deposit shows as successful, it may take up to 24 hours for your bank to reflect the amount in your balance.
