Event types in ProLine are versatile tools that help manage and automate project scheduling. By configuring event types, users can control event durations, assign default calendars, and set specific triggers for automated campaign actions.

Accessing Event Settings

To begin managing event types, navigate to: hamburger menu > Company Settings > Events. This page allows you to view and modify the settings associated with different events that you can schedule within ProLine.

Setting Default Event Type

An event type can be marked as the default for easy access when scheduling new events. To set a default event type, simply click the star icon next to the event type listed under the events settings. This marks it as the default, which ProLine will automatically select when scheduling a new event unless changed manually.

Configuring Event Types

ProLine allows for extensive customization of event types, including the following settings:

  1. Add new event types: Navigate to the Events tab under Company Settings to add new types.

  2. Customize attributes: For each event type, you can set unique colors, durations, and associate them with specific calendars.

  3. Edit existing event types: Modify settings such as event name, color, or associated calendar by selecting the appropriate event type under the Events tab.

Understanding Event Triggers

Event triggers are crucial for automating processes based on the scheduling of events. Each event type can have an associated trigger that automatically executes actions such as:

  • Starting specific campaigns

  • Moving projects to new stages

To manage these triggers, go to the Events tab in Company Settings. Here, you can:

  • Define what happens when an event is scheduled

  • Choose which campaign is triggered

  • Determine the project stage transition based on the event type

Example: If an inspection is scheduled, you can set a trigger that moves the project to the "Inspection Scheduled" stage and starts a specific campaign targeting the main contact.

Note: It’s important to manage stage and event triggers carefully to avoid conflicts. If an event trigger is set for a stage, disable any stage triggers for that stage to prevent overlapping actions.
