Configure Automated Message Business Hours

Learn how to set and manage business hours for sending automated messages in ProLine.

Automated messaging is a powerful feature in ProLine that allows you to communicate with your contacts efficiently. However, it's essential to ensure that these messages are sent at appropriate times. This guide will show you how to restrict automated messages to business hours and set rules to prevent sending on holidays and weekends.

Setting Hours for Automated Messages

To control when automated messages are sent, you need to set up business hours in ProLine. Here's how to do it:

  1. Navigate to Company Settings:

    • Go to the hamburger menu.

    • Select Company Settings.

  2. Access the Automation Tab:

    • Click on the Automation tab.

  3. Set Business Hours:

    • Specify the start time in Do not send before.

    • Specify the end time in Do not send after.

Restricting Messages on Holidays and Weekends

In addition to setting business hours, you can also prevent messages from being sent on major holidays and weekends.

  1. Restrict on Major Holidays:

    • In the Automation tab, find the setting to restrict sending on major holidays.

    • Enable the option for Major US holidays. This includes holidays like Christmas, Thanksgiving, and the 4th of July. Note that minor holidays like MLK Day are not included.

    • For users in Canada, enable the setting for Major Canadian holidays.

  2. Restrict on Weekends:

    • Enable the option to restrict sending on weekends. You can choose to block both Saturday and Sunday or just one of the weekend days.

Important Considerations

  • These restrictions apply only to automated steps that have starts immediately with restricted business hours or the starts at optimal time mode selected.

  • Other actions will run exactly when they are scheduled to run.
