Message Sending Hours & Rules

Automated messaging is a powerful feature in ProLine that allows you to communicate with your contacts efficiently. However, it's essential to ensure that these messages are sent at appropriate times.

These restrictions apply to "optimal time" steps, "starts immediately" steps restricted to business hours, and other automations where/when specifically indicated.

Note: If a messaging step or automation does not include one of these specific designations, these rules do not apply to it.

Available Configuration Options

You can customize the timing of your messages by setting specific rules at the company level. These settings will apply across your account and affect how and when emails and text messages are sent.

Here are the available configuration options:

  • Don't Send Before

    • Prevent messages from being sent too early in the morning. Use the drop down menu to select the hour.

  • Don't Send After

    • Avoid sending messages late at night or outside of acceptable hours. Use the drop down menu to select the hour.

  • Don't Send on Major United States Holidays

    • This includes holidays like Christmas, Thanksgiving, and the 4th of July. Note that minor holidays like MLK Day are not included.

  • Don't Send on Major Canadian Holidays

    • This includes holidays like Christmas, Labour Day and Canada Day.

  • Don't Send on Saturday

    • If your clients are less likely to respond on Saturdays, it may be a good idea not to send on this day.

  • Don't Send on Sunday

    • If your community is typically busy on Sundays with church, etc, it may be a good idea not to disrupt them on Sundays with automated messages.

Regulatory Responsibility

Laws regarding marketing and automated communications vary by region:

  • Municipality

  • Province or State

  • Country

Important: It is your responsibility to ensure that your settings align with the regulations of the region(s) where you operate. The system provides flexibility, but compliance decisions must be made and managed by you.
