Learn how to use Zapier integrations to automate various workflows, enhancing the functionality of ProLine with other applications.

ProLine's Zapier app allows you to connect your ProLine account to nearly any other software with a Zapier app. This integration is designed to be one of the best in the CRM and roofing systems, offering extensive triggers and actions to automate workflows efficiently.


Connecting ProLine to Zapier

  1. Log into Zapier.

  2. Create a new Zap.

  3. Search for and select ProLine.

You will need an API key from your ProLine account to complete the connection. Navigate to ProLine > Integrations > ProLine API to retrieve your API key and enter it in Zapier.

Note: Please make sure to keep your ProLine API key private and secure. Avoid sharing it publicly or with unnecessary parties. If an API key is exposed or compromised, unauthorized users can potentially abuse the associated privileges, leading to data breaches, unauthorized actions, and other security issues.

Using Triggers in ProLine's Zapier Integration

Triggers are events that start a Zap in Zapier. ProLine offers several triggers to automate activities:

  • Project Created or Updated: Triggers when a project changes stage or information.

  • Contact Created or Updated: Triggers when contact information changes or a campaign starts/stops.

  • New Communication Activity: Triggers for calls, texts, or emails.

  • Event Created or Updated: Triggers when an event changes or is created.

  • Financial Triggers: Includes payment complete, refund complete, and chargeback complete.

Example of Setting Up a Trigger

To set up a trigger for a new project:

  1. Create a new Zap in Zapier.

  2. Select ProLine as the trigger app.

  3. Choose "Project Created or Updated" as the trigger event.

  4. Connect your ProLine account using your API key.

  5. Customize the trigger by specifying conditions such as project stage changes.

Using Actions in ProLine's Zapier Integration

Actions are tasks performed in response to a trigger. ProLine provides several actions to automate tasks:

  • Create Alert Activity: Log simple text activity lines.

  • Call Activity: Log calls.

  • Message Activity: Log text messages.

  • Cancel Event: Cancel events in ProLine.

  • Create or Update Contact: Create or update contacts, though this is less commonly used than project-related actions.

  • Create or Update Project: The most popular action, allowing you to create or update projects, including contact and event fields.

Customize the action by mapping the necessary fields such as project name, contact details, and event information.

Searching and Creating with ProLine in Zapier

ProLine's Zapier integration also allows you to search for and retrieve data, which can then be used in other parts of your Zapier workflows:

  • Find Contact: Retrieve contact information based on specific criteria.

  • Find Project: Retrieve project information.

  • Find Event: Retrieve event information.

  • Find Team Member: Retrieve team member information.

Example of Using Search and Create

To find and create a contact:

  1. Create a new Zap in Zapier.

  2. Select ProLine as the action app.

  3. Choose "Find Contact" as the action event.

  4. Connect your ProLine account using your API key.

  5. Set up search conditions to find the contact.

  6. Add another action to create or update a contact based on the search results.
