In this article, we cover:

The "Clear Tasks" campaign action in ProLine allows you to automate the process of marking all uncompleted tasks within a project as completed. This action is useful for ensuring that tasks are systematically cleared as a project progresses through its stages, particularly within automated campaigns.

Steps to Add Clear Tasks Campaign Action

Follow these steps to add the "Clear Tasks" campaign action to your campaign:

  1. Access the Campaign Editor: Navigate to:

    • Hamburger menu > Campaigns > Choose a campaign folder and click on Open Folder > Choose a campaign and click on Edit Campaign.

    • A campaign's stage triggers (gear icon) > View Campaign. Note: this might not be possible if the stage has no triggers or if the stage triggers have no campaigns.

  2. Locate the Plus Button:

    • For a pre-built campaign, scroll to the bottom to find the + button.

    • For a new campaign, the + button will be at the top.

  3. Click the Plus Button: Clicking the + button will add a new step. The new step will default to the disabled action.

  4. Select "Clear Tasks" from the dropdown: This will switch the step to the Clear Tasks type. Don't forget to save.

This action will now be part of your campaign, ready to mark all uncompleted tasks as completed when executed.

How Clear Tasks Campaign Action Works

When the "Clear Tasks" action is triggered, all uncompleted tasks in the current campaign's project will be marked as completed, including those tasks that are required. This overrides any "lock until completed" conditions and ensures that all tasks are marked as done.

  • Example:

    • If a project moves to a new stage and the main contact progresses through a campaign, the "Clear Tasks" action will mark all open and required tasks for that project as completed.

    • This action affects tasks listed on the user task side and those on the project level, ensuring they are marked as completed and disappear from the task list.
