The "Assign Project" action in the campaign builder allows you to automatically distribute projects to team members. This is useful for ensuring that projects are evenly assigned and managed by the right team members.

How to Add a New Step to Your Campaign

  1. Access the Campaign Editor: Navigate to:

    • Hamburger menu > Campaigns > Choose a campaign folder and click on Open Folder > Choose a campaign and click on Edit Campaign.

    • A campaign's stage triggers (gear icon) > View Campaign. Note: this might not be possible if the stage has no triggers or if the stage triggers have no campaigns.

  2. Locate the Plus Button:

    • For a pre-built campaign, scroll to the bottom to find the + button.

    • For a new campaign, the + button will be at the top.

  3. Click the Plus Button: Clicking the + button will add a new step. The new step will default to the "disabled" action.

  4. Select "Assign Project" from the dropdown: This will switch the step to the Assign Project type. Don't forget to save.

Configuring the "Assign Project" Action

Once you select the "Assign Project" action, configure the settings:

  1. Timing and Delays: Adjust the timing and delays as necessary.

  2. Assign to Team Members:

    • Add the team members you want the projects assigned to. You can list multiple members for round-robin assignment.

    • The first member listed has the highest priority.

For example:

  • If you have one sales rep, such as John, and you want all leads assigned to him, simply add John.

  • If you have a growing team, add multiple members like John and James. The system will assign projects evenly, starting with John first, James second and so on.

Best Practices for Using the "Assign Project" Action

  • Placement in Campaign: Place the "Assign Project" action at the beginning of the campaign. This ensures that the project is assigned before any outbound communications or tasks are automated.

  • Priority Setting: When using multiple team members, ensure the priority order is correctly set to match your team's workflow.
