The "Send Webhook" Campaign Step

Learn how to set up and use the "Send Webhook" action in your ProLine Campaign Builder to automate sending information between applications.

A webhook is a method for apps to send real-time data to other services. It allows one application to provide other applications with information as events happen, instead of requiring the receiving application to frequently check for data updates. If you are familiar with webhooks, this guide will help you integrate them into your ProLine campaigns and send information from ProLine to other services.

How to Add a New Step to Your Campaign

  1. Access the Campaign Editor: Navigate to:

    • Hamburger menu > Campaigns > Choose a campaign folder and click on Open Folder > Choose a campaign and click on Edit Campaign.

    • A campaign's stage triggers (gear icon) > View Campaign. Note: this might not be possible if the stage has no triggers or if the stage triggers have no campaigns.

  2. Locate the Plus Button:

    • For a pre-built campaign, scroll to the bottom to find the + button.

    • For a new campaign, the + button will be at the top.

  3. Click the Plus Button: Clicking the + button will add a new step. The new step will default to the "disabled" action.

  4. Select Send Webhook:

    • Click on the Campaign Action Disabled step.

    • Click on the dropdown menu.

    • Select Send Webhook from the list.

    • Don't forget to save.

Configuring the Webhook Action

Once the Send Webhook step is added to your campaign:

  1. Webhook URL: Enter the URL to which the webhook will be sent.

  2. Optional text content: Add any additional text content that needs to be sent with the webhook.

  3. Save the step: After configuring the URL and optional content, click Save.

  4. Position the step: Move the webhook step to the desired position in your campaign sequence.
