Navigate to hamburger menu > Company Settings > Orders > Order Templates.
Under Company Defaults, you can set unique order templates for each location if needed.
You can use the dropdown menu to change these settings from company defaults to settings for specific locations.
Click on Add Order Template to start a new template or select an existing one to edit.
Work Order Template Details
Order Name: Enter a name for the work order template.
Contact: Set a default contact. This is the person to whom the order will be sent, typically your crew leader or sub-crew point of contact.
Target Date and Time: Choose whether the date defaults to a specific date, "hold for later," or "as soon as possible".
Notes: Add any notes that should always be included with the work order.
Cost Visibility: Decide whether to show estimated costs. Options include:
Show line item costs.
Show group or total order cost.
Hide all costs.
Steps to Customize Work Order Template
Add Contact: Select your default contact under Contact.
Set Default Date and Time: Choose the appropriate default setting for the date and time.
Enter Default Notes: Type any standard notes you want to include.
Configure Cost Visibility: Select which cost details to show or hide.
Save Template: Click Save to finalize the template.
Example:
To create a work order for a specific crew:
Enter the crew's name.
Add the crew leader as the contact.
Set the default date to "as soon as possible".
Include notes like "Please complete by end of day".
Choose to show the total order cost only.
Setting Up Material Order Templates
Material Order Template Details
Order Name: Enter a name for the material order template.
Contact: Set the default contact, typically the sales rep for your supplier.
Default Target Date and Time: Choose default settings for date and time.
Default Notes: Add any notes to include with every material order.
Cost Visibility: Generally, leave this deselected for material orders.
Steps to Customize Material Order Template
Add Contact: Select the supplier’s sales rep as the contact.
Set Default Target Date and Time: Choose the appropriate default setting.
Enter Default Notes: Type any standard notes you want to include.
Configure Cost Visibility: Usually, deselect all options for material orders.
Save Template: Click Save to finalize the template.
Example:
To create a material order for a specific supplier:
Enter the order name, e.g., "Lumber Order".
Add the supplier’s sales rep as the contact.
Set the default date to "hold for later".
Include notes like "Request best price".
Leave cost visibility options deselected.
Order Template Options and Settings
Quote Conversion Settings
Convert Selected Option: Convert only the selected options from the quote.
Convert Selected Upgrades: Include selected upgrades in the order.
Line Item Inclusion: Choose to include only labor, only materials, or other cost categories.
Send Actions
ProLine will automatically send emails and texts for the order.
Select the stage to move the project to after sending the order (e.g., "Work Order Sent").
Previewing and Generating Orders
After setting up the template, generate an order to preview it.
Review the order to ensure all details and settings are correct.

Experiment with different settings to find what works best for your workflow.
Use different templates for different crews or suppliers to speed up order creation.
