Tasks

Tasks & Deadlines help users manage and track case-related deadlines and assignments, sharing across the organization for easy coordination.

📍Where to Find Tasks & Deadlines

Tasks & Deadlines live inside the Case Navigation sub-menu. You can access Tasks & Deadlines two ways.

  1. Case Overview

    1. Select a case from the Viewing Case dropdown menu

    2. Scroll down to the Case Navigation section

    3. Click Case Overview

  2. Tasks & Deadlines

    1. Select a case from the Viewing Case dropdown menu

    2. Scroll down to the Case Navigation section

    3. Click Tasks & Deadlines

You’ll be taken to the Case Tasks & Deadlines table, where you can:

  • Create a New Task

  • View all tasks related to the case

  • Filter or search for specific tasks by keyword or status


➕ Creating New Tasks & Deadlines

To add new Tasks & Deadlines:

  1. Click the New Task button in the Case Tasks & Deadlines view

  2. A dialog window will appear with a form to complete

The task form includes:

  • Tasks Title – Brief name of the task

  • Description – More detail about what needs to be done

  • Category – Choose from Investigation, Medical, Legal, Client

  • Priority – Choose from Low, Medium, or High

  • Due Date – Select a target completion date

  • Assign To – Assign the task to an attorney or team member in your organization

Editing Tasks & Deadlines:

Tasks & Deadlines can be edited once they are created. Either individually or as a Bulk Action.

  1. Individually Editing

    1. Click the three dots (...) to the right of the Tasks & Deadline

    2. Select Edit Task

    3. Here, you can edit all fields, and you’ll notice a new field called Status. This field provides a list of options to categorize the task’s progress (e.g., Not Started, In Progress, Completed, On Hold, Cancelled).

  2. Bulk Action

    1. When you select multiple Tasks & Deadlines a Bulk Actions button will appear in the upper right hand corner of your screen.

    2. Here, you are provided two options, Mark as Completed and Delete Selected Items.


That’s it! Your task will now appear in the Case Tasks & Deadlines table, where you can manage progress and updates as needed.

If you're not seeing the Tasks & Deadlines tab in the navigation menu, double-check that you’ve selected a case first — it only appears in context of an active case.
