Understanding Templates
Templates act as the blueprint for all your AI-generated documents. ProPlaintiff.ai provides five pre-made templates you can use immediately, or you can build your own from scratch to fit your firm’s style and structure. Each template defines which sections your document will include.
For example:
Cover Page
Accident Summary
Patient History
Diagnostic Tests and Results
Executive Summary
💡 Think of templates as your master layout — they determine how your Demand Letters and Medical Chronologies are organized from start to finish.
How to Use Templates in ProPlaintiff.ai
Use templates to create consistent and professional demand letters and medical chronologies while reinforcing your firm’s branding and saving drafting time.
Here’s how to make the most of them:
Create a New Template:
Start by giving your template a clear name and structuring it with sections and subsections that fit your workflow.Add Branding Elements:
Include your firm’s custom letterhead, signature blocks, and contact information for a polished, branded look.Customize Styling:
Adjust fonts, colors, and formatting styles to match your firm’s visual identity.Use Prompts Effectively:
Write prompts that guide the AI on content, tone, and structure, ensuring every section includes all necessary details and reads professionally.
Why Templates Matter:
Templates help standardize your documents, maintain consistent branding, and significantly reduce the time spent drafting repetitive content.
Document Sections: Feeding the AI
Under the Document Sections tab, you’ll define the structure and instructions the AI uses to generate content. Each section can include a title and an AI prompt that tells the system what information to include and how to format it.
Example:
Example of Output:
Each section you add directly influences what the AI includes in your generated output.
If the information isn’t covered in your sections, the AI won’t generate it, so it’s important to build your templates thoughtfully.
How Templates and Sections Work Together
Templates = The layout of your document.
Sections = The instructions for what the AI writes in each part of that layout.
When you generate a Demand Letter or Medical Chronology, the AI looks at your selected template and follows the prompts you’ve written in each section to fill in case-specific details.
💡 The more precise and structured your Document Sections are, the more accurate and professional your generated documents will be.
Editing or Creating a New Template
To build or customize a template:
Navigate to Main Navigation → Templates.
Choose an existing template or click Add Template.
Define your Document Sections by clicking Add Section.
Edit the AI prompt to control the format and type of information generated.
Save your template. It’s now ready to use for future Demand Letters or Medical Chronologies.
Example in Action
In the screenshot above, you’ll see how the Document Sections on the left (Cover Page, Accident Summary, Patient History) correspond to the generated document on the right.
The AI followed each section’s prompt, pulling data from uploaded case files to produce structured, professional text with clear formatting.
Key Takeaway
Your template determines what appears in your document.
Your document sections determine what the AI writes and how it writes it.
Together, they form the backbone of every Demand Letter and Medical Chronology you generate in ProPlaintiff.ai.
