Recording your Continuing Education Units (CEUs) in Proserva centralizes your professional development information, making the license renewal process efficient and painless. This guide will walk you through the steps to add your CEUs to your Proserva account.
Prerequisites
Access to your Proserva account.
Digital copies (e.g., PDF files) of your CEU certificates or proof of completion.
Ensure you are logged into the Teacher Portal in Proserva.
Steps to Record CEUs
Access the License Section
Log in to Proserva using your credentials.
Confirm you are in the Teacher Portal.
Click on the “License” tab in the main menu.
If you have an application in progress, you will be directed to that tab by default.
If not, you will land on the “Renew” tab.
Navigate to Recorded Hours
In the “Renew” tab, you’ll see your Current Renewal Hours, indicating how many hours you need to log for renewal (e.g., 125 hours required).
Click on “Recorded Hours” to view any previously logged CEUs.
If no hours are recorded yet, the list will be empty.
Record New Hours
Click on the “Record Hours” button to add new CEUs. You have two options:
Option A: Link Preloaded Courses (If Available)
If your district uses Proserva for professional development, you may see courses listed that you’ve completed.
Select the relevant course from the list.
The system will automatically populate the course details.
Review the information and click “Add” to record the hours toward your CEUs.
Option B: Upload External CEUs
If you’ve completed professional development outside of Proserva, follow these steps:
Add a File:
Click on “Add File”.
Upload the CEU certificate or proof of completion (e.g., PDF).
Enter CEU Details:
Title: Provide a descriptive title for the CEU.
Number of Hours: Enter the number of hours credited (refer to your certificate).
Evidence Category: Select the type of training, such as:
Educational Workshop
Online Course
In-Class Training
Criteria Met: Select all applicable criteria that the CEU satisfies.
Add a Description (Optional):
Provide additional details about the CEU to assist the renewal committee in evaluating your submission.
For Administrators (If Applicable):
If you are an administrator and the CEU is BOSA certified, check the “BOSA Certified” option.
Submit the CEU:
Review all entered information for accuracy.
Click “Add” to submit.
Repeat for Additional CEUs:
If you have more CEUs to record, repeat the above steps for each one.
Review and Monitor Your Submissions
Return to the “Recorded Hours” section to view your submissions.
Each entry will display:
Title of the CEU.
Number of Hours logged.
Criteria it applies to.
Status: Initially marked as “Pending” until reviewed.
View Comments:
If the renewal committee reviews your CEU and leaves comments, click on the entry to view them.
Edit Entries:
If you need to make changes, click “Edit” or “Update” next to the CEU entry.
Modify the necessary information and save your changes.
Check Your Updated Renewal Hours
Your Current Renewal Hours will update automatically.
For example, after adding a 2-hour CEU, it may display “2 logged out of 125 required”.
Continue adding CEUs until you meet the total required hours for renewal.
