When managing your evidence for Licensure via Portfolio, follow these steps to efficiently upload, connect, and manage your evidence:

Uploading and Connecting Evidence

Upload Evidence

  • Navigate to the Evidence Library and upload your evidence files. These can include documents, images, or other relevant items.

Connect Evidence to Standards

  • Once evidence is uploaded, you can link it to one or more standards.

  • This allows you to use a single piece of evidence to demonstrate compliance with multiple standards.

Add Evidence While Providing Reasoning

  • While detailing your reasoning for a specific standard, you can:

    • Link existing evidence from the Evidence Library.

    • Upload new evidence directly to the standard.

Deleting Evidence

If you need to delete evidence, here’s how to manage the process:

Delete Evidence in the Library

  • Open the Evidence Library and locate the evidence you want to delete.

  • Click the red trash icon to attempt deletion.

Unlink Evidence from Standards Before Deleting

  • Important: Evidence linked to any standards cannot be deleted directly. You must first unlink it from all standards.

  • To unlink:

    • Open each standard the evidence is linked to.

    • Locate the evidence in the Support Evidence section.

    • Click the X icon next to the evidence to unlink it.

Complete the Deletion

  • After unlinking the evidence from all standards, return to the Evidence Library and delete it by clicking the red trash icon.

Key Notes

  • Unlinking vs. Deleting: Unlinking evidence from a standard does not remove it from the Evidence Library; it only removes the association with that specific standard.

  • Deletion is only possible once the evidence has been unlinked from all standards.

By following these steps, you can ensure your evidence is effectively managed and accurately applied to the licensure process.
